Toggle switches Leo Bodnar Board Question

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a new BBI-32 from Leo Bodnar that has arrived.  I plan to make a small overhead for FS2020 that will include various toggle switches.  So far I have installed the relevant software and connected a single toggle switch.  All is fine except when I assign landing lights or wing lights, for example, the toggle on the simulator vibrates and clicks rapidly almost like it hasn't quite switched into position.  This also happens with my Thrustmaster Airbus quadrant on the engine starters.  Has anyone had the same thing or can anyone advise if I am doing something wrong please?

Many thanks,

Dan

It sounds like you may have multiple buttons and/or multiple controllers assigned to the same control and fighting each other.  Check every listed control device and make sure nothing else is assigned to that function. on any of the other controllers.

That makes sense.  Thanks for that.  I'll have a good check through and report back either way.

Thanks very much

Hi,

The switches are still rapidly shaking.  It's odd because the number two engine starter on my Thrustmaster works fine but the number one shakes (on the screen) and falls out of orientation when switched.  Any ideas?

Thanks

I noticed that when I bind a toggle switch to say the landing light, I have to avoid using any “toggle” function and use the landing light “on” function in the controls setup. Same goes for all other functions that have a “toggle” feature. What I think is happening is when you have something that’s bound to a “toggle” feature in the settings, when you go to flick your actual toggle switch msfs reads that physical toggle switch as a “toggling” the button, so essentially it’s like continuously hitting the button in and off (even thought your physical toggle button isn’t moving)

It’s harder than I thought it would be to explain this but I hope you can make sense of what I’m trying to say.

Thanks for your reply.  Much appreciated.  I've been on holiday for the past week so I'll try what you suggest and see if it changes.

Thanks again.
