Default St. Bart's with ORBX (TFFJ)

Featured Replies

So, I haven't flown into this airport in P3D, only on MSFS and XP11. Just tried it with the A2A 172. WOW, it's terrible... Even with Orbx (all Global Range products - Base, Vector, all LC areas available) that approach into Runway 10 is NOTHING at all like the real thing. There is barely any elevation right prior to the runway, which is always what makes you kind of dive in and what makes that approach challenging. In addition, there were a couple of half-sunken buildings in the ocean right on approach. What's up with that? The default XP11 airport really nailed it. So did MSFS. Kind of really disappointing in P3D. Has anyone flown into it? Does everyone buy custom scenery for that airport, and if so, does it correct nonsensical elevation data with default P3D and Orbx packages? It was shockingly bad, so I feel like I need to get SOMETHING to remedy that - it's such a famous approach and a beautiful location!

Caribbean islands in default FSX/ P3D are always underwhelming. Use the Fly Tampa St Maarten package that has TNCM, TNCS and TFFJ
