Hello!

In a desperate attempt to force the last update I ruined my FS2020 install.

After trying everything (MS Store reset, XBox App reset, Gaming Services reset, etc.) to update fs2020 to the latest version and still getting a "you're good to go" message and no update at the MS Store I started looking for solutions everywhere.

I read somewhere you could rename your install folder, uninstall fs2020 in the XBox app, rename the folder back to what it was and install it again and it "might" work.

To cut a long story short... it didn't! Not only did it mess my fs2020 install (lost everything including all addons in the Community folder) I am now unable to reinstall fs2020.

I tried both the MS Store and the XBox app route but both downloads fail after a few seconds with a "Code: 0x803FB107" error message.

Does anyone have a clue on how to get fs2020 installed again?

I will be away from my PC during the weekend but I'll get back to this issue monday.

Probably a lot of the same info as the link above.  Don't be too hard on yourself seems an MS Store issue, you may have just made it a bit worse but probably didn't cause it 😉

I've read and followed all the potencial fixes but none of them worked unfortunately.

Yesterday I couldn't get FS2020 updated, today I can't get it reinstalled.

Maybe the uninstall process didn't finish properly and that's why I can't reinstall.

I've never had so much trouble updating and installing a piece of software.

Hope I don't have to reinstall Windows 10 to fix this issue.

Always install to a custom folder, so if your install is shot, the only thing you'd have to reinstall is the launcher and then point it to the custom folder and you won't have to reinstall it the entire game

You've already spent the best part of two days without accomplishing anything, so ...

I have a dedicated machine for flight sim so ripping everything out and redoing it doesn't bother me too much. Got it done in less than one day and I know I fixed the problem. Constantly patching programs only works for so long. I do have a number of backups should I absolutely need something that got wordnotallowedcanned.
