October 4, 20214 yr Hello all, Can anyone tell me if there is anyway to start VR with a mapped key stoke in lieu of settings/VR Hardware/enable VR? I also notice lately that it is very difficult to get out of VR mode because "generally" clicking on disable VR does not do anything and I find I have to shut down XPlane11 and then restart. Quite often, even doing this locks up my computer and I have to resort to a reboot. Is anyone else having these problems? Has anyone also got any idea if or when we will get hand tracking support in "any" sim or even if it is on any agenda? Other than that, XPlane is working brilliantly but I am looking forward to XPlane12 I have to say. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. If you are talking about touching stuff in the cockpit with your hands then something like the valve index should already work fine. 1 hour ago, himmelhorse said: what are your thoughts on XPlane 12 yes please. Hello again mate, I have the quest 2 and that supports hand tracking too. I have, however, been advised that no simulator actually supports hand tracking yet. I certainly can track my hands but I can not turn knobs or make switches work except by mouse or controller. I have therefore, concluded that hand tracking is not supported and I would love that assumption to be incorrect. That was what triggered the request for information. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. Regards Tony yeah, so the answer to that is "its complicated". As I understand it, it requires xplane to switch from openvr to openxr, I believe thats a thing on the to do list for xp12, but not a priority https://feedback.x-plane.com/posts/1444/hand-motion-controler-support-via-openxr-extensions Adding hand tracking (same thing as the gloves) might need additional work on top of that. October 5, 20214 yr Author MSparks, I have added comments on that site as I have no idea how to vote. I have to say further, that there appears to be only 24 votes and about 10 comments. That would make this seem a very minor priority for most XPlaners. Further, I cannot find even a single submission on this in MSFS, and, as I do not go to P3D very much lately, I have not investigated that at all. I am now wondering if DCS support it although fighters are not in my realm of expertise. Thanks again for your comments and help Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. Mate, Already done that (had to, to add a comment) and have since found the up arrow and voted (now 31votes) So intuitive LOL Give 31 votes I would anticipate implementation about the year 3060 Regards Tony Tony Chilcott.
