Bush in Brazil with the Porter

Featured Replies

Beware ! Nothing glamorous in here I'm afraid. No glorious sunset, no artistic blur. You almost don't see the aircraft. Rather crude screenshots if you ask me😄 You may be disappointed.

I was not. The beauty of this sim is not only in the visuals.

I landed yesterday evening the decidedly very convincing Porter in Porto Indio, a dirt strip in Mato Grosso, Brazil, at the Bolivian border. Forest and lakes. Not really tricky but hemmed in with trees. Gotta be careful. Your usual bush landing. I even didn't take any screenshot. The routine.

Then I had a second thought.

There were village buildings by the water to welcome me and Porto Indio SSPY written with chalk on the grass at the end of a long slope (and tricvky!) taxiway. Vanilla MSFS... in the boonies... I shut down the Porter got out and the birds were chirping loudly.

Bush is all its splendor. So I took some shots of the area to hopefully share the feeling.

Those unexpected small fields are one of the best parts of the sim. Yesterday I had a fuel emergency with the Bell 47G and also had to land on a beautiful farm in the Brazilian countryside.

All true,...🙂....but, the aura of this (little known) place seems unmistakable...!
