October 7, 20214 yr Come visit YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, Australia, and learn its fascinating history since 1911, and enjoy a beautiful tour of the magnificent city and harbour, one of the world’s great harbours. Cheers. Great places to fly in MSFS: https://youtube.com/channel/UCqCzobOlQLeGycCFnavVrPg

Chris @ctalpas, thanks for your comment, and yes I have, especially since I was one of the airport engineers that installed all the airport lighting at YMML in the 1970s, born & bred in Melbourne, learned to fly at YTYA & YMMB etc etc. But for Sydney I had great Orbx payware for the airport and the city whereas there is none for Melbourne yet - I keep posing about that elsewhere! I think I read there is some technical issue with the sim scenery around Melbourne. Maybe I will have to go with the Melbourne scenery the way it is. There is some freeware I might look at again. Do you have any particular reason for wanting Melbourne (other than I live there)?Cheers. Great places to fly in MSFS: https://youtube.com/channel/UCqCzobOlQLeGycCFnavVrPg

Pity they closed the airstrip on the Island to aircraft - helicopters only now, I think. Cheers. Great places to fly in MSFS: https://youtube.com/channel/UCqCzobOlQLeGycCFnavVrPg

I've had colleagues who lived in Melbourne and said it was quite impressive and compared well to Sydney. Don't think I'll be going to Australia again any time soon, so thus my desire to experience it vicariously . You being from there brought back the desire to see Melbourne and what better guide than a local.
