Trying to figure out how to get everything going.  This is so confusing  No EFIS

I have just acquired a gf mcp and EFIS. Second hand , but in very good /as new condition. I finally got bells and whistles operating but "wow" talk about confusing advice from all over the forums.

I would really appreciate it if one or more of the more skilled members of this community could advise as to what is working and what is not on their MPC and/or EFIS. Some people say "all working "others say "partially working" or "this or that is inoperative." I think part of the reason is that some advice is along the lines of "Google it".Trouble is some of the entries were made yonks ago and are based on older software and operating systems.

O>K> that was long winded but my query is   What should I expect to work, given the following parameters and the defficiency in the current sate of the SDK?

MSFS deluxe ;Windows 10 (up to date); GF MCP ;GF EFIS ;GF Interface tool. Aircraft is FBW 320 stable.    Also some guidance as to what the GF Interface Tool looks like when set up properly would be helpful.

Given the number of enquiries from the whole Flight Sim Community a definitive and well informed guide in the one place (here) would benefit us all.

Anyway I look forward to hearing about it. Thanks in advance (BTW, I have no issues re the running of MSFS or any add-ons) Cheers Dan

Using FSUIPC do yu have to configure every module as you select it

I know that, but it is beyond my capacity. I think it needs Lua programming.-

Hi danielwilliam, if you have the GFIT from Pollypot I would recommend to go to the website and read the how-to-install & how-to-use helpfiles, since 28. of october a new version of GFIT exist, there are some SDK variables added. In my opinion the website is the best source for all kinds of information regarding GoFlight module install and use. For the special question FBW / MSFS please keep in mind, that the MCP Pro ist more a Boeing MCP than an Airbus FCU, but the MCP Pro is working when you are able to translate the AP commands like VNAV or LNAV to the appropriate Airbus commands and the differences btwn selected and managed modes. It's simply the different design which make it more complicate to assign the functions to the panel for the bus. The EFIS is not working so far I know with the GFIT software, we have to wait for some of the SDK variables. Best regards

Ralf

Thanks Ralf, You have verified what I understood to be the case .. Just wasn't sure how much I should expect from the MCP given the state of play re SDK. and of course the different aircraft. My rotary knobs are all working (pardon the expression😉) as are the lights and display.Noted the 28 Oct from GFIT.  Looking forward to further updates. Thanks again, Dan
