  1. yes, it sounds dramatically, but speaking for the B737 family the FCC's are relative "old fashioned" they have the FD and AP functions as well as Mach Trim with AP on and Speed Trim with AP off, Autothrottle has it's own computer, same for the Yaw Damping. There was no basically change between the Classic and the NG, for the Max they introduced an additional Stall Managagement Yaw Damper Computer and included the AT functions into FCC's. Of course they all have Bits and BITE and internal logics to compare and protect, connect, disengage, indicate and so on, but this is valid for all the Boeing FCC's, from the classic B757/767 3-FCC architecture to the B744 and 748 - here the AT functions are incuded in the FMC's then B777 with a new idea of Autoflight Director Computer, Actuator Control Electronics and Primary Flight Computers and finally the card architecture of the B787's or the two FCC each with two independant chanel architecture of the MD11 from Douglas, not speaking about Airbus, since it's a PMDG thread... It's an interesting chapter of different methods but after all they do the same: controlling the plane. Best regards
  2. The autopilot FCC is an electrical component with no mechanical input, electrical position and force signals transferred from CC/CW to FCC A/B. The meaning of the sentense seems to be: if due to overforce and shear off the mechanically system the position and force signals as FCC inputs are invalid, no further calculation of these signals will be made inside the FCC, meaning the AP channel is inoperative and could not be restored during flight since it is sheared off = mechanically damaged. The first PMDG product, the handbook for Hardys 747 PS1 Precision Simulator was also used as login precedure and state of the art for the time beeing. Best regards
  3. Hello Nuno, thank you for your effort to bring the pilot callouts back to life, one question: since I have most of the TFDI MD11 functions successfully set to my Goflight modules I'd like to know if it possible to use to lua-script along with the Pollypot Goflight Interface Tool (GFIT), it has it's own Lua-interpreter which is started everytime the GFIT software is activated or do I have to set the script in every case to the FSUIPC directory? I'm not familiar with lua-coding or programming unfortunately. Best regards and again thank you.
  4. I've clicked "Install" then yellow "Installing" message was present, then the lightred "Remove" message. After some seconds "Remove" going to blue "Install" button again. Tried this several times, and finally after the third Removal/Installation procedure of the navigraph hub software the installation went through and the actual NavDB was seen on FMC MCDU. Seems to be an "inconsistent" navigraph hub problem on my PC, I don't know, however happy to have it now. Thank you for your help in this matter... btw have you seen the removal of the last 2 digits at ALT scale if VS is more than +/-3000 ft. It's amazing this level of detail.... Best regards
  5. Hello, yes I'm using MD11 since last update frequently without any problems. After navdata update today the navigraph hub is unable to install the DB into sim. Removed MD11 completely and installed new, with original deliverd DB plane is working, at the moment all additional liveries deleted, only flagships in community folder. Whenever I try to install new DB the old DB is gone and no new DB is availalable in AC. Does anybody know, where the DB ist installed in TFDI / MSFS2020? Best regards
  6. Hello all, could not install navdata update via navigraph hub for cycle 2601, have MD11 MSFS2020 and all updated. Navigraph hub is going to blue install field after trying to update. Is it just me or anyone else - please note it's MSFS 2020 cargo and pax. Thanks and best regards
  7. I'm using BATC because of it's easy to handle user interface and the price with FSTL models and beeing satisfied most of the time. Occassionally I'm missing the possibility to quick reset the traffic e.g. before collision during taxiing and also missing the opportunity to edit the Simbrief transferred flightplan directly in BATC, sometimes it will not accept the star or a waypoint although MSFS and the aircraft has accepted the plan. Mayby the possibilities were there, but could not resolve both items, discord is not the solution since it confuse me more then enlighting me. For Pushback using pushback helper and it is working fine, and at least I have an enroute chatter until the approach. Satisfied (with both exceptions noted) customer here. Best regards
  8. I "feel" more comfortable than the TO'ner with the plane, but there may different points of view: for me it's more importand that the fuel schedule for long haul flight is programmed correctly (and it's a very complicated system, belive me) than a clickable armrest. The systems are working well, major bugs ironed out, EFB, WX and TERR are implemented and finally I have to say for me that plane is programmed in the spirit of Bill Grabowski - love it. PMDG never will develop a MD11 again since Lefteris has done the major parts of development for PMDG MD11, but they went on different paths and for P3D there was no MD11 available, only a B717 from TFDI. So it seem the only MD11 we have at the moment, I've been waiting for the extension module which including failure simulation, CB handling and more. From my side a clear recommendation if you are willing to dive deep into the divas systems. And regarding the price - you get the pax or freighter and for a small amount the other one - at PMDG you have to pay the T7-300 and then again the T7-freighter fully. Best regards
  9. same here, what a mess with MS and their experiments
  10. a walk-around for checking brake wear pins for minimums after some time of operation, general tire conditions, oil+fuel leaks, bird-strikes at blades, slats, radome, missing panels and so on. If this is implemented a walk-around makes sense, otherwise you can visit plane spotter websites to check the beauty of aircrafts. Best regards
  11. sorry, Development instead of Design was meant
  12. hopefully one day Precision Manuals Design Group will return to their roots, writing and now developing something new with Aerowinx, just a dream... Best regards
  13. for me LOC capture is working when enter the 4-letter identifier / heading instead of frequency / heading manually.
  14. I can see the reason for the parallel XBox implementation more in the fact, that here MS is earning a lot of money - AddOn developer have to pay a MS Marketplace fee to be present in the XBox world. In the PC enviroment this is avoidable by AddOn developers. Best regards.
  15. and from their discord today: WX/TERR are in progress, pictures shown there. Best regards
