May 5, 20242 yr So there it is....my first and ever problem with MSFS since it's launch <- yes, this is correct! Last days I got plenty of "unable to sync" messages and it was always the XBOX Gaming App that logged me out. Looking in the Store Updates I saw the last days constant updates to the XBox gaming app and the Gaming services (just today again). So now I have my first stuck on Checking for updates screen. Nothing helps.... Anybody else having this? Gerald K. - Germany AMD 7800x3D / ASUS ROG X670E-Gaming / ASUS Strix RTX 3090 OC / 64 Gb RAM GSKILL. "Flightstick" = X56 HOTAS RGB Logitech
May 5, 20242 yr Remedy: When in sim, Disconnect your wifi..then re-connect That's what works in my neck of the woods

May 5, 20242 yr What I find works is to force quit the sim and then reopen it. 100% of the time for me, it opens fully on the second go.
May 5, 20242 yr Message to Microsoft...you took the money now up your server capacity to provide the service so many paid for (all my other connectivity dependent stuff is doing fine) Edited May 5, 20242 yr by Lonesome Cowboy Burt

May 5, 20242 yr Had this the other day but after 10 minutes everything eventually loaded, I have heard that launching in administrator mode can cause this. Specs: 11900K (5ghz), 64GB ram 3600mhz, RTX 3080 ti
May 5, 20242 yr For the record, for the last 2 days mine booted fine and didn't get stuck in searching for updates (I'm in the beta). That's probably true for the computers at Asobo too. So they don't see the issue. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. May 5, 20242 yr Happened to me a couple of days ago. I suspected that it may have been something to do with having too many addons in my community folder, so I took a few out and it started up fine. May have just been coincidence, but that was my suspicion. May 6, 20242 yr This is an old problem, sometimes happens 2-3 days before a big update is coming. Last year I was not able to launch the sim for half a week because it was stuck in this endless loop, I even thought about deleting and reinstalling it - but on weekend I did another try to launch it and suddenly it was updating some big SU and ran fine afterwards like nothing was ever wrong 🙂
May 6, 20242 yr Happened to me yesterday. Restarted sim - same thing. Rebooted PC - same thing. Rebooted PC again and same thing again but I just left it 'Checking for Updates' and after about 10 to 15 mins it continued on with the remainder of the startup process.
