  1. Oh, right ...no offence intended I just thought with the RAF link in your avatar/PFP you probably would have come across it. Its quite famous
  2. Old enough to have been close to a few Lightnings at take off, that and the stiff little Fingers concerts have left me Mutton ....but worth it for the experiences.😁 I'm sure most have seen this pic but for those that havnt... ...and of course who could forget the tale of Taffy Holden Taffy's Day Out
  3. Yea its awful, I guess its a great IFR training platform but that view! Imagine looking for traffic in the circuit
  4. Message to Microsoft...you took the money now up your server capacity to provide the service so many paid for (all my other connectivity dependent stuff is doing fine)
  5. Yep Im getting this today, waited about 10 mins...got fed up...buggered off to shed P.S. I.m in UK just saying in case its a local server thinggy
  6. You've missunderstood what is actually provided in that first Link, you find any VFR Sectionals there. You have to pay for such things in the UK and probably some other countries, also as Jim explained extracting the downloads from the various systems (some of which have dynamic links that change) is not trivial
  7. Thanks for taking the time to provide this guide Capt, its a great help for the dummies like me
  8. You'd be wasting half a postage stamp
  9. Just Noticed the Link Trainer in your sig, my first sim also
  10. Ryan, How about...https://teamraven.co.uk/ ?
  11. I tried TrackIR for years on and off, never did feel right, that whole move your head around whilst keeping your eyes looking ahead is nowhere near realistic for me. I always thought what I probably would get on with betteris eye tracking, anyone previous trackir userswho felt the same about trackir feel that this eye tracker is a whole lot better?
  12. That's odd, looking in DLSS Swapper it appears I already have that version installed and the last time I changed it was a week or 2 back
  13. Husky has a Garmin Aera portable mounted on the Panel, 795/6 model I think
  14. This is true, but.... whilst nobody can demand or perhaps even expect what they see as reasonable behaviour to always be extent on a freely provided platform, it's as natural for people to complain about what they see as unreasonable actions from certain mods on a forum as it is for certain mods on a forum to actually be unreasonable Personally I don't stress it as it's ultimately just about a video game. But I understand, well perhaps not understand but accept the reality that some people invest lots of time and effort in it (this counts for users not just providers)
  15. Spot, its the same with the official Discord.
  16. One thing that fluffy bloke said that I noticed is that he thought MSFS 2024 would be 2020 re-worked. Wasnt much of 2020 actually FSX code reworked despite a lot of initial denials? please correct me if I have that wrong, I just wonder perhaps Fluffy might have a point on that one.
  17. I love how at least half the replies answer a different question to the one asked😁 P.S. Anti-flame disclaimer (meant as JUST a light hearted comment in a light hearted thread no offence intended)🤠
  18. Since SU14 had a frozen cockpit (can look around but nothing clicks/operates) and frozen controls once in Milviz PC-6 and once in Justflight BAe 146
  19. One thing that has struck me in the sim is the consistent rocking when low above trees, I fly irl and most of the places I fly in and out of involve low approaches over trees (in a lightweight aircraft) so I do have some idea of the resulting rotor and windshear that can be present, it can sometimes be quite alarming but its usually a case of oh word not allowed..followed by a calmish bit then perhaps something in between the 2..etc etc The sim version seems rather too uniform and continuous to me, although to be fair its the best attempt I've experienced in a flight sim
