March 22, 20251 yr After almost a year with the experimental version, this is the sad state of the software on my machine (Experimental edition): Near mid-air collisions, endless waits just to cross runways. Customer support is also bad -one staff member actually tried to troll me on their Discord. I’ve reported countless bugs and submitted .log files when asked (or not) yet nothing has changed. I can only hope any of the devs actually bothered to read them, but I fear that since nothing has changed on my machine - nobody really took the time to read most or any of them (I reported , among other things, about these issues at that specific airport). One user even told me to just "accept" it... Edit: It seems as they banned me from their Discord server: Next time they publish one of their promotional videos with a bunch of youtubers being impressed by their AI Traffic, do take what is shown with a grain of salt. A complete waste of money, just like the MFG Crosswind V3 rudder pedals—hardly usable on arrival. The guy responds to my support emails once a week, if I'm lucky. I took the time to provide screenshots, and capture game footage to demonstrate the issue, and it's been more than 6 days without any response. I bought the pedals in ~ Sept 2024. March 22, 20251 yr I use it on every flight. I don't overload it by setting AI traffic on max, I use reasonable settings, and for the most part, it works pretty well. I issue I see is on approach some of the vectoring needs to be improved, but that has always been an issue on any AT C program I have used, and I have used just about all of them at one time or another. I have never used premium voices don't see any need for them. Changing approaches is something they have to work on, so I never count on it working. Edited March 22, 20251 yr by Bobsk8

What makes you assume I don't use reasonable settings and\or load maximum AI traffic to the simulator? While my machine is more than capable to handle it (but unfortunately, the sim doesn't and sadly -wasn't even designed to handle it), All of the dynamic AI (Departing, cruising and arriving traffic) scalar is set to 5 or 6, with static AI (parking aircrafts) is set to 3. March 22, 20251 yr Author No, no no - Perhaps to the uninitiated this little disclaimer would seem reasonable, but we are initiated, aren't we - Guenter ? We both know BeyondATC has been in development for a year+, and almost a year after the first release (exp. release) and during said period, my bugs including logs were submitted, and evidently nothing has been done to rectify the issues in the countless delta fixes and updates they have released thus far. March 22, 20251 yr Sure, and when does the Official Completed Version debut? I wish they would spend more effort on vectoring and a few other things before expanding on the LLM feature. I've actually had more taxiway collisions w/ BATC managing its own often jerky traffic than I have when running FSLTL injector and BATC for ATC only, and that's weird! Should be the other way around. March 22, 20251 yr ATC in flight simming seems to be one of the last areas to really nail down and get right. Curious about your use of ATC and what you are looking to get out of it. I've been really trying to like it, and trying to use it more when I don't feel like flying online. There are times where it has promise (it did a really good job managing the Kennedy final on 31L/R and releasing departures), but then it did this to me because it doesn't understand the WYNDE2 STAR at KORD: Once I landed, there were a few E175s and A320s smashed together on one of the high-speeds off 28C. Annoyingly it kept referring to the next runway as 10L - LLM needs to know to be consistent with runway directions. Overall, promise, but woof those "improved" experimental version vectors still need a lot of work. The exact same issue was reported by a user back in January. I could forgive the STAR confusion, but it kept trying to turn me left, over the airport, gave me a 60 degree intercept and blew me through the localizer. Tough to have positive words at the moment. I call this the Canarsie shuffle... no AI LLM is going to understand N90 - it just has to be pre-scripted (as it is in real life) Edited March 22, 20251 yr by mspencer

That's right - I didn't even mention the horrendous taxi instructions leading the AI traffic blocking the taxiway, which almost happens on every other flight. Thank you for reminding me, Noel. I believe I was told on their discord that their ATC doesn't even monitor you while you taxi - that's a true strive for realism right there - you can basically do whatever you want and choose whichever taxiway you deem fit, regardless to AI movement. I think (though unsure) that this issue is the reason for AI traffic using the same taxiway for opposing directions, causing frequent taxi path conflicts in nearly every flight. They blamed it on the airport scenery last time I mentioned this on their #support channel, however since I'm not a developer - I have no way of actually verifying their claim. At this point, I'm not looking for much, just trying to enjoy flying my addons (PMDG, FSLabs) without frustration, and making sure everything works smoothly and in certain synergy (mainly MSFS with BATC, F2C etc.) during the flight. March 22, 20251 yr Would it be helpful to say/ask if ATC gives you an instruction that doesnt seem right to just ignore it and do what you think is the right thing to do? I have BATC and have used it but not loads amount to discover the what happens if.. Like what happens if you are told to hold short of a runway and you dont get a crossing call in an orderly time and decide to cross it without being cleared? Will ATC "yell" at you or even acknowledge it? I was on approach with BATC and it kept wanting to give me the same radio call to the point I just turned on Auto Co-Pilot replies while I got established on the approach. Once I saw the runway in sight, I took the initiative to just switch to Tower and report established on the active to land and got cleared to land. Trying to make lemonade out of lemons. Full disclosure, I'm looking for immersion and wanting to use non-human ATC addons to practice my own radio calls. When I get immersion breaks due to the current limits of the tech, I just focus on what I'm doing right. That said, if I can get a flight in where there are no immersion breaks its way more rewarding then when ATC messes up and kills the immersion. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
March 22, 20251 yr Completely agree on all the points made, especially the misplaced focus on LLM.... The pushbacks being too fast with no time to engine start or test control surfaces and just immediately taxi within 30 seconds of initial push is one that irks me >> tho they still have THE BEST voices available ... Edit: and their Discord has turned into a less than warm stance towards their customers, that kind of sucks... But same with SI, they too have definitely got way colder than a year ago… Edited March 23, 20251 yr by UAL4life
