And I thought the Longitude was too big for this airport

Featured Replies

But I was shocked to see how small the Longitude (the red plane below) is compared to the airlines. And I was even more shocked to see how big a windmill really is.

Size comparison of 5 big planes in MSFS. From left to right: the Longitude, CJ4 (on the runway), A320, B787 and the 747.

A few of the ski mountains in the Northeast have windmills nearby. They're monstrous, from even a moderate distance.

Yep, a single blade can be well over a 100ft long. I've driven through a wind farm located on the plains in Colorado -- mighty impressive to say the least!

This is interesting.  I have never seen them side-by side before from an angle like this before.

I didn't realise the B787 was so big.  I always imagined it as halfway between the A320 and the B747.  It's definitely closer to the 747 in size.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I’ve always thought the 787 looked smaller than it is, I think the larger windows throw off the perspective for me.
