October 28, 20214 yr I love breakfast. It's my favorite meal of the day. Betty has no appetite for breakfast and just wants a bowl of cereal but I have breakfast in three stages. I start with my morning cup of coffee. That's followed by a small bowl of instant oatmeal sprinkled with almond slivers and half glass of hot water with half of lemon squeezed in it. I have that while reading Google news. My main breakfast is perhaps French toast or scrambled eggs with my fruit bowl of fresh cut up apple with a tangerine and a handfull of grapes. A cup of Lapsang Souchon Tea and a half glass of vegetable juice to top it off. Wednesday is egg McMuffin day. I have a different breakfast menu for very day of the week. But the main part of breakfast are the computer card games. A game of hearts followed by solitaire followed by spider solitaire followed by freecell. I eat breakfast on my computer desk. I clear away the keyboard to make room for the food and let the games begin. Freecell is my favorite because I read once that every game is winnable. Some are easy but some get pretty difficult and require backtracking a few times or saving it until the following morning. But since I read that every game is winnable I have 483 wins and no losses so far. But Hearts I enjoy since I played it so much when I was in the service. Ya know, sound effects would be nice and bring it closer to what I remember when we played it at lunch time. "You're the luckiest SOB I ever saw!" "S***, I never get a good hand." "Read em and weep you losers," when you shoot the moon. Breakfast last about 2 hours or more for me from my first cup of coffee to clearing the dishes from my computer desk. Breakfast. My favorite part of the day. Noel Edited October 28, 20214 yr by birdguy The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
October 29, 20214 yr You're still on Windows 7? interesting. I enjoy Freecell a lot. Win 10 comes with a whole new approach to the games that I didn't like AT ALL at first but now I'm so glad I stuck with it. I actually had to trick my mom into trying the games and now she's hooked on Spider Solitaire. I bough a laptop pretending it was mine and I asked her to try the new games and when she decided she liked them I told her the laptop was hers. There's tons of games in Win 10 including word puzzle games and jigsaw puzzle games. There's no Hearts though - by default anyway. You can probably download "an app". They rewrote minesweeper and turned it into "Treasure Hunt" - an interesting and thoughtful retake. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. October 29, 20214 yr Author No, I found something that lets you play those Windows 7 Games on Windows 10. I also have Scrabble and Chess but don't play them much. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
October 29, 20214 yr The Win 10 Solitaire games have the capability of being much harder than the Win 7 games. To my knowledge both Klondike and Freecell are always winnable. I like to play the Daily Challenges (the mini events) and some of those get extremely hard. The jigsaw daily challenges aren't really fair for those with a tremor - they are timed and require good hands and good eyes. I like the old fashioned jigsaw puzzles (computer version). The Ultimate Word Games are awesome. Edited October 29, 20214 yr by sightseer | Dave | I've been around for most of my life.
