For the red X the developer used 3 seperate names for each of  the winsocks, the model in the Sode, sim objects, WSM_MKJP is named skrg... use this in sim cfg file and the xml folder to rename this eliminated my red X   .

Sorry to re-activate this thread....
Can you please confirm the exact steps/things to do to rectify the issue please? Thank you

I know this is an older thread, but can someone explain to me how to remove the static planes from this scenery. If developers are going to add static planes to their scenery, I wish they would make it easy to remove them if we wanted.

Go to C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\SimObjects\WSM_MKJP. Open sim.cfg.

Remove all entries leaving just General, fltsim.0 to fltsim.3. The relevant folders in that location can also be removed.

I did that now I have big red X's where the static planes used to be. Also it didn't delete all of the static planes. I still have two static 737's.

Check WSM_MKJP.xml in the xml folder. If there are entries there referring to static aircraft remove them. Make a copy first.

Yes. Notepad is fine but the free NotePad++ is better.

Thanks. I will try it out later (don't have time now).

I most likely will not be buying anymore Wingsim sceneries. I have 3 sceneries from them, and they all have had problems that need some sort of fixing or tinkering.

They’re decent quality and you’ll get help here to fix the problems. Generally they’re small errors like the SODE problem which can be easily fixed.
