New England Coast - Northbound – Part 2

Departing from Nantucket (KACK), the first leg takes us to Chatham Municipal (KCQX) and then continue north on Cape Cod past Wellfleet before landing at Provincetown (KPVC).   The New England coastal tour proceeds north and east with stops at the following airports.

  •          KGHG - Marshfield Muni
  •          KBOS - Logan Intl
  •          2B2 - Plum Island
  •          KPSM - Portsmouth Intl At Pease
  •          KPWM - Portland Intl Jetport
  •          KIWI - Wiscasset
  •          KRKD - Knox Co Regl
  •          ME5 - Banks
  •          KBHB - Hancock County-Bar Harbor

Flightplan: HERE

Aircraft

The route is 329nm and an aircraft capable of 160knts cruise speed will work.  I will fly the Rob Young modified Turbo Bonanza 4.1.  As always you are free to fly what you like.  If we are unable to finish in the allotted time – no worries – we will resume part 3 at the point where we stop.

NOTAM:   2B2 Plum Island     Mike reported that he had problems getting stuck and no amount of power would get his plane moving.  I tried to replicate the problem but repeatedly CTD'd when starting at the airport.   I recommend that we give this addon a miss for this flight.

Great flight today.  Reminded me of a scenario from a book about Flight simulation I had MS Flight Sim 4.  The book gave you the weather settings to setup for the scenario and and the radio frequencies for the VOR and ILS to fly from Nantucket to Boston ILS.

Flight Simulation has come a long way in the last 30 years.
