November 16, 20214 yr and of course im excited with the perspective of having my butt shaking in a few days. Question is, whats the best software to use with MSFS plus FSrealistic!?... read about OPUS MSFS, Sim Shaker for aviators, Sim shaker for aviators sound module, im a little confused and i was hoping not needing an extensive configuration curve...something as simple as possible. Thank you. November 16, 20214 yr I just received my buttkicker about a month ago, Although software is not required (it can be a plug and play unit) it offers more user input in settings with software. I went with simshaker, note when you purchase simshaker, you have to wait for the developer to provide a key but for me it was within hours. Simshaker is very simple to use, once installed by following the instructions it’s a matter of dialing in different intensity settings per every item within the program. Very simple to use and the changes you make are real time while in the sim (you feel the changes right away). I’ll be honest and say I’m still trying to dial it in, I think the output is dependent on the quality of sounds every individual airplane has built in to it. For example some planes I feel the landing bump very well, but some I don’t while on the same settings. As for fsrealistic and simshaker, I recently downloaded the trial version and don’t see much of an effect on the buttkicker with fsrealistic, I get the cool sounds but it doesn’t change anything I feel in the chair. Maybe my output isn’t on the right sound card for fsrealistic if it can even be changed (I purchased a cheap usb sound adapter for msfs sounds, and run buttkicker output through the pc sound card, apparently it’s best to use 2 sound cards for buttkicker, or the software voicemeter instead of an extra sound card, but for me I was trying to get away from more software, so went with a 15$ usb sound adapter) I know it doesn’t really answer the question, but having gone through the process figured I’d give my input for you. As a side note, I’ve found for me a higher intensity setting on the buttkicker amp itself and lower settings in simshaker to be best, but again still trying to figure it out.
