Blown away by something in the weather ;-)

Sitting at EDFH in the CJ4 this morning, windy and very low clouds, I was programming the FMS - then looked up as a cloud bank blew right across the airport. Actually sat and watched it for a few minutes as they rolled in and over me, something I have never seen in a sim. Managed to get a clear spot for my takeoff roll.

Absolutely mesmerising - despite it's many faults it can be amazing some times !!

I agree. Me, being a procedure-loving aviation nerd type of guy, that rather looks on the ND the whole flight instead of looking outside, I would have never thought I'd end up admiring some virtual weather.
I even ended up already crashing my A3NX twice while staring outside, once I just taxied into the firefighter station, another time I crashed into the mountains while departing from some alpine, snow covered airport (LOWI? can't remember). Never happened in P3D, so...

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

We currently have a lot of opportunity to enjoy this, particularly when flying VFR into small airfields in form of having to circle for 20 minutes until the cloud on the ground has moved off the runway. 🙂

But bugs aside, I found it interesting to sit on some parking position all afternoon and watching the weather develop, clouds and showers passing by, the sun coming out again, the birds singing, fronts approaching or dissolving in the distance...  I hope that'll soon be all back.
