Co-pilot in FBW A320NX?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Is it possible to add a co-pilot in the right-hand seat of a FBW A320NX? And if so, how can this be established?

Thanks a lot for any information.

I remember that there was this possibility to add and remove it but it was deleted.

Good for you. How did you get this co-pilot in your cockpit? The ones available in Flightsim.to cannot be used.

IIRC having the copilot model loaded caused problems. I don't remember what type of problems (CTD's?) But the FBW devs opted to remove the feature shortly after its implementation.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Thanks for this information. It's not all that important to have the right seat being physically occupied in the simulator, but it would have been nice 🙂 Guess we just have to wait will happen in the furure.

Sorry, I wanted to edit my post with more details, but then forgot because F1 started. I use the mod at Flightsim.to from Mugz. With latest Dev build of the FBW A320NX. Only did a flight to EGLL without CTD.

Thanks for elaborating. The problem with this mod is, that it doesn't work with the current dev version of FBW's A320NX anymore.

It is actually very simple. Add the following to this file: flybywire-aircraft-a320-neo\SimObjects\AirPlanes\FlyByWire_A320_NEO\flight_model.cfg

max_number_of_stations = 10 ; Number of payload stations  <-- Change this from 8 to 10 as we add two stations.
station_load.0 = 3300, 21.98, 0, 5, ECONOMY ROWS 1-6 (seats: 36 max: 6670lbs/3024kg), 0
station_load.1 = 3850, 2.86, 0, 5.1, ECONOMY ROWS 7-13 (seats: 42 max: 7780lb/3530kg), 0
station_load.2 = 4400, -15.34, 0, 5.3, ECONOMY ROWS 14-21 (seats: 48 max: 8880lb/4032kg), 0
station_load.3 = 6600, -32.81, 0, 5.5, ECONOMY ROWS 22-29 (seats: 48 max: 8880lb/4032kg), 0
station_load.4 = 2800, 18.28, 0, 0.9, FWD BAGGAGE/CONTAINER (max: 5600lb/2540kg), 0
station_load.5 = 1950, -15.96, 0, 1, AFT CONTAINER (max: 4000lb/1815kg), 0
station_load.6 = 1700, -27.10, 0, 1.2, AFT BAGGAGE (max: 3500lb/1585kg), 0
station_load.7 = 1300, -37.35, 0, 1.4, AFT BULK/LOOSE (max: 2750lb/1245kg), 0
station_load.8 = 185, 42.36, 0, 0, PILOT, 1
station_load.9 = 185, 42.36, 0, 0, FIRST OFFICER, 2

Works for me with the latest dev build using the FBW installer.

Thanks again. I wasn't aware that a file had to be modified in combination with the mod you mentioned in a previous note. I most certainly will give it a try.

Great to hear it is working again. I did not know it too, and I also don't know if this information is available somewhere else. I found out myself by accident.
