FO used full callsign - just once

Featured Replies

I've used the FBW Project since it was released and until 5 flights ago the FO had only ever used Easy when calling for Clearance, Push Back, Taxi and Take off.  Then, for one flight only, the FO used Easy 8225 for each of the ATC communications.  It was a great feature but I cannot replicate it.  I know I didn't imagine it so how can I set this up?  I use Button Control.

Thanks Bryan.  I'll amend the flight numbers in future.

Ah, I've always wondered why it only ever says "EASY" for me, without an numbers being said. If it only works with numbers, then it's a kind of incompatibility between FS2CREW, FBW and simBrief.

For example, when configuring a new flight within simBrief, the first two fields are "Airline" and "Flight No". if I complete them as "EZY" and "123" respectively, the flight number imported by the FBW MCDU is "EZY123".

This is correct according to the simBrief user guide:

"Flight Info contains the required information which must be filled in prior to generating a flight plan. It contains the following fields:
"Airline - The 3 letter ICAO identifier for the airline you wish to simulate (ex. DLH).
Flight-No.- The flight number you wish to use (ex. 401)"

So, are you saying that I should manually edit then imported flight number in the MCDU after the simBrief import, or leave the Airline field blank in simBrief, in order for this to work? (even though the simBrief user guide says it's a required field, which I'm not sure is true).

Just replace the Simbrief provided callsign in the MCDU with the numbers only and FS2Crew will use the full calsign.
