Featured Replies

Hey All,

FlyInside, the company that brought VR to X-Plane is going to release its Bell 47 for X-Plane users. Already available for MSFS2020 this aircraft has the same great flight model, same great systems modelling, and the same amazing artwork!

All the MSFS2020 goodies in X-Plane 11! Why should they have all the fun?

It's OFFICIAL The X-plane version will release December 23rd, 2021!!!

Stay tuned here and at www.flyinside-helis.com  for updated info.

Christmas...**hint-*hint*

It's great but, at the same time, strange - I must say...

I was offered the Bell 47 G for MFS, and I did enjoy it, within the limitations of MFS, and the fact that it runs the FM externally, which has it's consequences for instance in terms of how it "feels" some weather effects, but it's acceptable since we do not have a rotary fdm in MFS.

But in X-Plane ? The rotary flight dynamics in XP look very complex / complete, so, couldn't it be done that way ?

It's probably easier for the developer to do it that way since they already worked on making it dependant on the external FM. Which would be fine, if it was indeed working properly. I have no idea, maybe it will be good in XP too.

I am not fond of such small helicopters but that's of course just me 🙂 Very much enjoyed the B407, the UH-1, The B412. Looking forward to the new B206 also.

Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

Didn't look the msfs version. But maybe they did it because msfs doesn't support vr controls yet. In the other hand, x-plane is more complete in the vr field.

Be watching for this. I learned to fly rw initially on the 47G2 back in the 1970s...yep I'm showing my age.
