December 26, 20214 yr I have played with every in-sim setting for lights on/off and the potentiometers and I have also played with everything I can find in spad, including loading some other people's stuff, but the only light I can get on in the cockpit of a C172 is the panel light. Don't know how to get any general light in the cockpit. Trying pedestal lights, cabin lights, glareshield lights. I am guessing there is a way but I can't find it. Any advice? December 26, 20214 yr There are two sets of double knobs (inner and outer). Spin these. https://forums.x-plane.org/uploads/monthly_2017_03/Cessna_172SP_9.jpg.f1e1abc42d002133548f42d8ffb39702.jpg With that, there are also flood lights on the ceiling. Edited December 26, 20214 yr by FlyingInACessna

In my Cessna 172 (G1000) in MSFS, those knobs are not there. And I have no idea where to find any controls for ceiling lights, which is exactly what I am looking for. Downloading it now. I am remaining hopeful 🙂 EDIT: It works really nicely in the standard C172 but the knobs used to control it don't seem to exist in the G1000 version of the plane. Although, that must obviously be wrong since he says it is for the G1000 version. I am going to contact him and ask how to control in the G1000 plane. December 26, 20214 yr The knobs for the G1000 are on the far left underneath the master switch. They are four rotatable knobs.
December 26, 20214 yr Author OK, you all want a good laugh. I have been communicating with the above developer and I am so new to all this that I never looked up in the C172 to see the two floodlights on the ceiling of the plane :-). I didn't even know they were there. So his mod doesn't add lights but rather expands the range of brightness they can be set to. Another tiny step up the learning curve for me. Sorry about that - I should’ve been clear that the buttons are next to the lights, much like a car. Edited December 26, 20214 yr by FlyingInACessna
