December 28, 20214 yr So is there a known fix or work-around (other than a complete reinstalling nightmare) for MS's update installer not properly calculating the needed drive space? I'm trying to get a 2 GB update and I have 93GB available on the drive yet it insists I don't have enough space and i can't use the sim now. Is there a trick here, to make it install? I cant believe I walk away for 6 months waiting for them to get their act together, and now that I wanted to come back, there's this issue. Never in my life...wow Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons
December 28, 20214 yr Author So having this game installed on a 200GB partition is no longer sufficient for it to patch itself, even though the entire application is only taking up slightly over 100GB (or roughly half the drive space)? What do they expect us to do, devote a very costly 500GB SSD entirely to just their one game so it'll be able to patch itself? December 28, 20214 yr Hello, try to repair your drive : chkdsk driveletter: /f Example : chkdsk E: /f Also repair your system disk using C letter Then repair Windows : sfc /scannow Run cleanmgr (admin mode) and clean all items. Try to update FS 2020. If it's ok, it would mean FS2020 was not the problem !
