Glad you are finally getting some enjoyment out of it! :-)But comatose?-fsx can do high resolution and simconnect-which is why something like tileproxy can be developed. We are only beginning to see what will be done with this sim-I am waiting for the new Active Sky next-multiplayer etc.-all the new innovations this sim offers being developed to the fullest. So if it is comatose-I see it waking up in a big way...the potential has been there from the start-hopefully sp1 will nip it in the bud.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

And with the new Active Sky coming with that gorgeous interface I'm starting to look forward to the possibilities.

>Have you turned your scenery radius up to max? I find just>the opposite...>http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpgHi Geof; the answer is no, because I haven't even tried using TileProxy. I'm just not interested in it at this time; the blurry textures I've seen in the screens and lack of autogen just does not appeal to me as I stated earlier. I much prefer the sharpness of FSX with 1m texture resolution and the autogen setup I have. The sarcastic comment about framerates by another poster was not necessary. You may have framerate problems depending on how you are trying to run FSX, but I don't have problems with framerates with my setup the way it is and with what I've been reading about SP1 I will get some more improvement on top of that. I'm very happy with FSX!I stated earlier and I'll repeat: I'm not bashing this concept, I think it has potential for the future and may be one of the ways scenery is implemented in a future version of FS. I'm glad Christian has come up with this idea for those of you who are enjoying it; it's giving you another option for using FSX in a way that pleases and appeals to you, and that is a good thing. Enjoy! Just take note that this method does not appeal to everyone, and that's all my message was intended to say. Thanks

Ken

Does this look blurry? Maybe my eyes are going bad (they are) lol.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=257337&page=I'd give it a try as Detroit area is one of the areas that is done very well-though it stops a little north of where I am and goes downriver about to Grosse Isle.By the way-my semi sarcastic comment above was accurate-I can see wood chps in my driveway and a car I don't own anymore..and it isn't all that blurry!http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg

Tileproxy does not appeal to you. Thanks for sharing this important and useful piece of information.

>this is what a single guy can offer us, for free, on his>spare time and in 6 months. Lol... And the same who got all>upset and righteous when some people dared to find "flaws" in>FSX now sneeze at this beautiful little piece of software that>collects thankyous from all over the place.>I hope that Chirstian gets the technical help he needs to make>this thing better and that *creativity* kick back in rather>than dull, sour and rigid conformity.so do I outstanding!not perfect but then what isalso screenshot size I used and quality adjustment necessary doesnt help either. It is immensely appealing and interedting to me to be able to combine FSX with what is a mine of interesting pictures of places I have been or would like to go as well. There is no way FSX scenery can compare in realism there effort though laudible is a bit pathetic; but its still a massive achievement and tricks the mind with its pseudo realismIt what YOU enjoy that matters in this hobby isnt it?Rich

>I'm just not interested in it at this time; the>blurry textures I've seen in the screens and lack of autogen>just does not appeal to me as I stated earlier. I'm assuming the deal is you don't want to use autogen with tileproxy because it won't match up with the textures its placed on?
