January 12, 20224 yr I would like to put a request in that allows the user to have user of the overhead speaker and playback functions of the GTN's Audio Panel for use with PilotEdge, Vatsim etc. For myself, I fly in VR but not all the time so I am jumping in out from the hood. I have the headset assigned for my ATC and Mic and my main speakers for all other sounds. I would nice to be able to assign another speaker and/or mic as the speaker/mic in the audio panel as so the end user can easily and realistically switch between using a headset or speakers for ATC. Additionally with the audio playback for online flying, that too would be a nice feature to have available. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
January 20, 20224 yr Hi, I'm not certain where the line would be drawn, but for what it's worth, the GTN audio panel feature is already synchronizing with the simulator audio panel system. In other words, whatever you're doing with the GTN Audio Panel syncs back and forth with the simulator audio panel modes. However, the GTN audio "mixer" is not doing anything because there is not such underlying system in the simulator to sync with. I'd much prefer this feature to be implemented in the simulator first, so that the GTN becomes a natural tool to use and manipulate this via its touchscreen interface, but I'll keep this suggestion in our list. I find this useful and cool too.
February 12, 20224 yr How about making WX available in the simulator? I know it likely isn't realized in the trainer but wouldn't it be possible to make it a totally separate gauge that would fit within the bezel and at least give cloud and precip returns? The WX could be called up by clicking weather from the menu and as a separate gauge application be presided to fit exactly within the screen area. A totally separate function from the trainer engine.
