Placement of Scenery Libraries?

Featured Replies

Should libraries be all grouped together in the scenery order? Should they be on the top of the library list (Low number) or at the bottom of the list (High number)? Thanks!

It doesn't matter at all. Normally, library priority determines layering of scenery elements, and the order of scenery exclusions. Library objects will appear no matter what. (Of course, a placement file which places the object may be affected by priority.)

I tend to pop these out of the way in the scenery library, down the list with the stuff that you normally wouldn't need to worry about:)

I am not sure you are both referring to the same "libraries".  I did not see LTCSZ make reference to scenery objects (object libraries of hangars, buildings, beacons, fences, animals, cars, static aircraft, etc).  My use of the term scenery libraries would refer to sceneries, such as regionalized airports, cities, states (like Megascenery Earth titles, etc).  Perhaps LTCSZ can better define just what he is attempting to organize in more specific terms.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to "object" libraries containing hangars, buildings, etc., as you mention above. I was questioning if these types of libraries should be grouped together, either high up or low down in the library order. It is my understanding that the airports, etc., should be near the top. (I fooled around with X-Plane for a short while and its scenery structure is much more complicated). Thanks for the advice!
