January 17, 20224 yr When re installing MSFS, I pointed the install to my D drive. And thats were my exe. file is ,along with other files. I also Have this location on my C drive C:\Users\mcduf\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community. Is this normal?. I also have 2 Community folders, one on the link i just posted, and one where i installed one the D drive. So I assumed any addons should go into the Community folder on the C; drive. But that doesn't work. Now when i put them in the Community folder on the D drive, they work. Is the correct way? Edited January 17, 20224 yr by Dutch1
January 17, 20224 yr I also had this duplication when being forced to completely reinstall. When I started using the community folder in the paid adds installation another folder was created. I solved the problem by deleting one and keeping the other.

Thats the one in the D drive. Really not a big deal when i finally figured it out. Just had to change the path in my MSFS Addon program.
January 17, 20224 yr This is indeed a strange one. I too have this duplication, BUT ... the one in the packages folder is empty and to mind, it could well be deleted. The other of course is on a dedicated 1TB SSD and this only contains the Community and Official folders. I have no idea what the effect will be, if you delete the packages Community folder, and bear in mind, this should only be contemplated, if it is actually empty. I would think that it would have very little effect. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked).
