If you ever heard the lyric "speed bonnie boat like a bird on the wing", it refers to Flora McDonald's rescue of 'Bonnie Prince Charlie' who was trapped on the Isle of Benbecula after the battle of Culloden.  Getting to Skye gave him access to a French ship and escape.  She and I both migrated to America - different centuries though.

Now I know the song , it has been featured many a times in the Starz TV series - Outlander .
