January 22, 20224 yr Hi folks, Im looking at adding hardware to my sim setup, in this case a gps unit. The unit I’m looking at requires me to plug into hdmi port however I already have my monitor plugged in. My potential solution is to get a usb to hdmi adapter, I’m just curious if anyones used such an adapter and how exactly it works? How can a USB port have video capabilities without being plugged into the gpu? Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
