Does the video card make all the difference?

All, I'm wondering does the video card make all the difference with the HP Reverb G2.  I've been looking at an alternative to what I have although mine looks to be pretty good when looking at what's recommended.

Well I can't comment specifically on the HP Reverb G2 as I have the Oculus Quest 2 but I did upgrade my card from the 2060 to the 3080ti recently. The difference in performance and visual clarity is massive in and out of VR, however I am not sure if that represents value for money currently as the price of the RTX 3080-3090 series is still eye watering.
