Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Twice now, while flying the Hotstart CL650, I've crashed or rather froze up during my decent.

I found the following message at the end of the log.txt. I also saw a mention of this on the x-plane forums, but the thread was closed and no further guidance was offered.

I know this is a big flyer, asking for help without more details, but thought someone else might have seen this.

Last few lines of log.txt:

2022-01-28 22:55:32 CL650[waas_api.c:205]: Failed to download WAAS API data: server responded with error 404 (Not Found)
2022-01-28 22:56:40 CL650[gps4000s.c:2917]: WAAS data download successful

Thanks

Your decent what?

And if you tend to freeze up while operating the CL650, try to loosen yourself, take things not so serious, tell yourself it is just a simulation!

Now a totally outrageous idea: Why don´t you ask about your problem in the dedicated support forum for that airplane, where not only most other users but also the developers themselves read along and might give you an educated and concise answer?

OK.

I guessed this was a lost cause.

Thanks for nothing

My pleasure 😉

Seriously - you come here with a very intricate problem and provide next to no information and then expect some helpful input?

This is frustrating and a waste of time for everyone reading your post. If you feel that you should not go to the support forum for whatever reasons

https://forums.x-pilot.com/forums/forum/266-challenger-650/

then at LEAST attach your full log.txt so we can see what is going on with your system. The problem is - unless you are sure which part of the log.txt is relevant to your problem, you can´t really post that part of the log.txt. And if you know, you don´t need to post it 😉

Oh, and you are missing one simulator in your signature, I think. 😅

Curious to find out if the hinted link into the X-Aviation forums was effective ?

Might that really be a Nvidia OpenGL driver quirk ?

A suggestion from someone not presently using X-Plane ( waiting XP12 ) but who had the best results when using XP11 with Vulkan. Why not trying the CL650 in "Vulkan mode" ?

Maybe English isn't you first language. Or perhaps you're just snarky by nature. I don't know.

If you read my original you'll see I was aware of all the criticisms you've mentioned.

All of the above.

At any rate, did updating the drivers or going to Vulkan help?
