February 11, 20224 yr 1- yesterday I did a A320 flight with vectors to final approach. ATC told me to turn left to 252 so I did, then he kept saying to turn left to 252 over and over and over even though I was already there using A/P. This went on for 15 minutes or so. How could I have stopped this? 2- My path for Navigraph navdata is Pilot2ATC_2020_x64\Data and I have 2201 Rev1 installed on all my addons. Why does navdata not match with my airplane (in this case Aerosoft A320) & PFPX & Aivlasoft EFB data? The STAR in these three was not included in P2A. 3- How can I get ATC to bring me to the same runway P3D AI are using? I was landing 10R they were taking off in the opposite direction. Thanks Jerry Jerry Hayman
February 11, 20224 yr Commercial Member 1-Make sure the aircraft is set to display Magnetic heading. Some 3rd party aircraft have an option to display true heading, which is only used on maps, not in flight from ATC. 2- Drop the Data subfolder. The path should be just ...Pilot2ATC_2020_x64 3-First try checking the option on the FltPln tab of config to "Match SIM Rwy if Known". That should help in P3D and FSX. If you still get assigned an opposing runway, you can request a different Departure or Arrival runway verbally, or set it in the SID and STAR windows, with or without selecting a procedure. See the Operations guide for how to do this. Dave
February 11, 20224 yr Author Thank you Dave for you quick reply. I will fix these for next flight. 🙂 Jerry Jerry Hayman
February 12, 20224 yr Author Another question Dave. Yesterday I did a PMDG 777-300 flight to Hawaii. Something happened to ATC during the cruise and when it was time to descend to approach ATC was out of sync. He kept telling my FO to change to ground control. I tried doing various requests using PTT and every time it would tell me to change to ground control (while I was at TOD needing to descend). I had to do the rest of the flight without ATC. When this happens is there a way to get the ATC back in sync? Jerry Jerry Hayman
February 12, 20224 yr Commercial Member For your situation or even one where something other than P2A crashes, here's what to do: Disconnect and Reconnect P2A File the Flight Plan Make your initial call like "Center, <CallSign> at flight level 320" The controller should give you a squawk code and after you dial it in, a Radar Contact call. All should proceed normally after that. Dave
