Lear 35A Yaw & Bank Trouble above FL300
A VA buddy and I found the problem. Here is the fix for anyone that may run into this issue. I had A2A Accu-feel running and had never had problems with it until now. There is something about the Lear that Accu-feel has a conflict with. When I turned it off for the Lear it no longer causes the problem. I have done a test flight up to FL430 and one VA flight at FL330 and it has been rock solid at all altitudes.

Lear 35A Yaw & Bank Trouble above FL300
It is a little more severe with ASN on but I still get the Yaw movement and all I described above with ASN OFF and Clear Skies weather through P3D. It will take some more testing to figure out if I can make settings changes in ASN to stop this. The odd thing is with ASN running with the settings I have been using for at least a year I have no problems like this with any other addon aircraft.

Lear 35A Yaw & Bank Trouble above FL300
I use ASN with current version and live weather. I will check the temps on the next flight. I am running P3D v3.2 in case it helps to know. No hurricane and it was normal turbulence at the time going from North Caroline to Florida. Jerry

Lear 35A Yaw & Bank Trouble above FL300
I just did my first flight in the Lear on a 1.5 hour flight and it rocks. However, once I got above 30,000' it started with a huge yaw back and forth even though the yaw damper was on. It would do that to the full ball deflection right and left. Then once it got violent enough the bank would also start going up to about 30 degrees each direction. With both going it would almost stall. I had cruise set at FL370 and once I got back down to about FL300 it stopped and was rock solid again. It did this over and over until I descended to FL300. I tried it without the autopilot and it was even worse. I also tried the secondary yaw damper system but it didn't help either. Does anybody know how to fix this? Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I searched the forums here but found nothing on it. Nice flying airplane so far other than this awful yaw problem. My pax wanted their money back, hehe. Thanks for your input, Jerry

PC12 Runaway Start
Guys, I post this to hopefully help someone else that might have the same problem I did. I run P3D v2.5 with all current hotfixes. When I got the PC12 I went to Cold & Dark and then proceeded through the checklist. When I got to the Engine Start every time I would start the engine (with ignition AUTO) it was at full torque and would runaway right through parking brake and across the airfield. The only thing that slowed it down was moving power lever in Beta range but by then I was off my stand and out of position. The other issue I had was with this process when I hit the starter the prop would spool up but never actually get engine start until I pushed the ignition button to ON. Then it would start but with the runway condition. I searched the forum here for an answer with marginal results and some that said "There is nothing wrong I was just doing it wrong". After a lot of playing I found that if I change the checklist slightly it solved my problem. So if you have a similar issue try this and see if it helps in your system. Set the Ignition to ON instead of AUTO; then proceed will the standard checklist from there. It started normally after I push the starter button and the torque stayed at Idle and has done so for the next 5 test starts. Therefore I think this issue is behind me now and I can go enjoy flying the aircraft. Jerry

Headset Mic won't work in Reboot
Bryan, I thought it might help someone else if I let you know the "Clean Start" fixed the problem (whatever it was). I followed your steps above to the letter and once NGX & Reboot was re-installed it all worked great. I had FS2Crew for the Majestic Q400 already loaded in P3D and it still was working perfectly. Now both of them are operational. Thanks for the help. Jerry

Proper way to Uninstall NGX for P3D?
Guys, I have the FS2Crew Reboot and am having problems where they recommend I uninstall it and PMDG NGX and then start over "clean". I am running Win7 and P3D 2.5+ hotfixes. Before I do the NGX uninstall I wanted to make sure I have the proper steps to do it. I seem to remember from old forum posts about doing something in the FMC before doing the Win Control Panel Uninstall of NGX. But after 1.5 hours of searching these forums and PMDG manuals I just can't find any reference to it. Can anyone provide all the proper steps to complete this process. It would be greatly appreciated since I want to do this right the first time. Thanks, Jerry

Headset Mic won't work in Reboot
Update to my last post: I am getting no "Green Bar" even though the headset mic tests good everywhere else and it not muted (Teamspeak, Win7 setup, etc). And it all worked fine in the legacy version. I am flying P3D v2.5. I think I will try it in the legacy version in FSX and report back unless you have another idea Bryan. Edit: I went back to FSX which is still running the legacy version of FS2Crew to test. The mic would not work there either and I could not see any selections for "Headset Audio Device" in the CFG window; same for "PWR/AIR SRC". There was also no selections in the "crew region" options. I am suspecting something got messed up when I installed the reboot version for P3D. Here are the steps I did when I installed the Reboot in P3D: 1- I replaced the panel cfg in 738 main panel folder with old panel cfg file from before OLD FS2Crew install 2- Then uninstalled legacy version 3- Then reinstalled NGX v1.10.6461 4- Then installed FS2Crew Reboot Could there be files left over from the legacy version I need to get rid of? Should I start all over with uninstall and reinstall? If so could you supply proper steps so I don't miss something? Thanks, Jerry

Headset Mic won't work in Reboot
I am running P3D v2/5+ all hotfixes. I had the vintage NGX working with no problems but now that i have installed reboot version my headset mic won't work. I have checked to be sure the mic is not muted, checked every step of the install for speech recognition, configured the mic again and it is working in Win7 at 100% output. Once I get in the VC I get the FO voice but when I try to respond nothing happens. I also checked to make sure I am in Voice mode in FS2Crew and HM is not on. I believe I have everything in setup set properly to work through the headset. I am anxious to get my first flight working with the reboot version. Anyone got some ideas? Thanks, Jerry

S550 Yes or NO
This is likely to be the last Carenado I ever buy as it was an extreme disappointment after owning PMDG NGX, 777 and Majestic Q400. I also feel the price is way beyond the quality of what they gave us with the Citation and the awful FMS. You would think they could at least get the VC quality / readability right and switches that are operated in a consistent manner. I won't be wasting my money on the Hawker as I am sure it will be just like this one and will be priced at a level of much higher quality products.

Microsoft Flight Simulator® Has Stopped Working
Thanks for the info Kyle; I already have FSUIPC registered version and have been using it for more than a year. I checked Pete's download site and found I was behind one upgrade to just installed FSUIPC v4.934 and WideClient 6.99m. Do you think I need to reinstall totally? Rob, I have had an occasional ASN crash but no simconnect errors with EFB thank goodness. Charlie, I also run EZdok along with TrackIR on the FSX machine but have not seen these crashes to be related to ASN (no direct connection I can see). I also never had any FSX crashes before SP1 but I did have OOM errors if I wasn't careful with going outside the cockpit too much. Jerry

Microsoft Flight Simulator® Has Stopped Working
I have tried KJFK to KLAX three times since I got SP1 and everyone has had an FSX crash with "Fatal Error - Restart Program". Every one has crashed before I completed the SID or on the takeoff roll. The last one I pulled the Event Viewer details which are: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18247, time stamp: 0x521ea8e7 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00032eb8 Faulting process id: 0x12f4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cfb7071d839034 Faulting application path: C:\1 FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll Report Id: faadfaef-2303-11e4-a229-60a44c370026 I was running ASN, Aivlasoft EFB, VAFS, PFPX, Wide Client from networked laptop with FSX on Primary machine. I didn't have this with 777 before SP1. Is it just me or are others having new FSX fatal errors (not OOM)? SP1b didn't seem to change it any for me. Jerry

In Trial - need Experienced Users Opinion
Guys, I have been using the trial version since 6/11 testing every day with various aircraft in my hanger. I started with v6.34 which was the trial download. That was problematic for me and then I saw posts here about v6.2 and switched to that. It has been much better using that but I still have issues that concern me (considering the cost of this product). I had a fatal error today that shut down Vox completely at cruise. I was able to get it started up again after cycling to disable and back to enable. I have done the training for both the Win7 speech recognition and the Vox flight training four times already hoping it would improve the recognition. I also did three specific flight plan training but still have issues with voice recognition. I use a headset with mic and all will be working fine but then suddenly the controller will restate the instructions again and again (4-5 times) before it accepts what I said. Today's flight did this twice; once at "taxi instruction readback" and next for "heading & altitude read back". I have also had 3 flights using the Vox training flights where the controller took me off runway 32L to the right, then the ground controller brought me right back to cross that runway and then routed me right back to the other side of the same runway again to park. Is this kind of activity normal for Vox? Will the voice recognition continue to improve as I do more flights or is this the best I can expect? I have about 7 flights (including the Vox training ones) with Vox so far. I am also having a challenge with the quality of the voices. I got all the voices provided by VoxPop and are using those for my test flights. I believe I saw somewhere that online voices can be purchased that are an improvement over these VoxPop ones. I would like some specifics about those if you know of them; what to buy, where to get them and how much? I hope your input will help me decide whether this program is worth the money for me. Thanks for any information you can provide. Jerry

Two Control Towers at KBFI
Today I flew into KBFI and noticed I am seeing double. Two control towers (identical) right next to each other on the west side of runway 31L near center field. My question is whether anyone else sees this or do I have a bad install? My FPS in this area is lower than it used to be also so it really makes me wonder if I have an issue with the PNW install. I had computer issues after a hardware upgrade so had to reload all FSX and addons. Before this happened I don't remember seeing multiple towers but may have just overlooked it. Don't know. I have win7 x64 with FSX Gold & FTX PNW loaded. I also have patch PNW005 which I believe is the latest along with ORBXLIBS 130626. Also have other addons both aircraft and others but right now ORBX is the only scenery loaded other than FSX default. Let me know if you see this too. Thanks Jerry

How can I install a second FSX on another drive on same computer?
I am having severe fps problems with my 1 year old install of FSX. This started after an upgrade to my MOBO & CPU so I wanted to install a 2nd totally default version on a 2nd hard drive I have on same computer. When I tried to load the discs it would only give me options to repair or remove the current version. Is there a way to get it installed on 2nd hard drive? Thanks, Jerry

Need Tutorial 1 help...
Peter, I suspect James is right on about your problem. I had the same issue for a few flights and one time I was outside the aircraft and could see that when I was in idle one engine was in reverse. That would cause the spoiler armed light to come on and the A/T to go off. If I advanced that throttle a little the reverse engine would go back to normal and I could reset the A/T. All I had to do was redo my FSUIPC settings for my throttle idle dead spot to give a bigger area for idle and problem solved; I have not had the issue since. Good luck with this.

Tutorial #2 Problem with Spoilers armed on Taxi out
Thanks for your reply rsvit, you are probably right about a bug in the saved flight. The master caution (light on) has no message with it on the screen to its right. The only thing that happens is the speedbrake armed light (green) comes on and the A/T arm switch goes off. I have also tried the PMDG saved flight from pushback with the same result. So this time after having tried both of those flights with the same problem I went to the PMDG saved flight "before takeoff" and was able to get airborne without issues. Then I went back to my saved flight to see if there was any master caution message (no) and was able to get to the runway but when I throttled up for takeoff the master caution light came on, the horn sounded, the speedbrake armed (green) light came on and the A/T arm switch went to off again; while I was rolling down the runway. I aborted the takeoff and will try the PMDG saved flight "before takeoff" again and see if I will be able to continue on with the flight. So at this point I am thinking it is just the two saved flights that have the problem (seems funny to me that both of them would have the same problem). I'll let you know if there is further trouble tomorrow when I finish the PMDG before takeoff flight.

Tutorial #2 Problem with Spoilers armed on Taxi out
Thanks AJ, I checked and the spoilers show "axis not processed" so that was not the problem.

Tutorial #2 Problem with Spoilers armed on Taxi out
I have worked through tutorial #2 up to the point of taxi to runway 24. I saved a flight after engine start with everything ready to taxi. As I start to taxi the indicator light for speedbrake armed comes on and causes the Auto throttle arm switch to go off and I get the A/T warn light on and master caution light on. I have checked the speedbrakes lever - it is down and locked and outside there are no speedbrakes up. However I can not get the light to go out even after cycling the speedbrake lever and then back to locked position and the auto throttle still won't engage. Every time I try to move the switch to armed it stays off and turns on the A/T warn light again. I have gone back to my saved flight before taxi and everything appears normal with no speedbrake armed light but when I start the taxi out to runway 24 the speedbrake armed light comes back and the whole problem starts again. I thought maybe there was something I did in my process up to this point so I went back to the PMDG 737NGX Tutorial #2 EHAM-LOWI Before Pushback saved flight and went forward with the checklist. As soon as I started to taxi the same problem occurred. I have the full version of FSUIPC for my CH throttle but have only a keyboard command for the speedbrakes and did not use it. I also checked failures just in case and it is set to NONE Active. Anyone ever run into this issue in tutorial #2 before? I could not find a post about this in my search of this forum. Your suggestions to fix the issue would be greatly appreciated so I can take off and continue the tutorial. I was able to go through tutorial #1 without any issues. Thanks Jerry Hayman

737NGX & Problem with keyboard Commands
Dax, Here is what I found and I hope it will help you too. See the note from Herman above about using keyboard to enter data to the FMC (this did not solve my problem); but he is right about the manual instructions. But what made the difference for me is the following. I got this tip from one of my fellow pilots in our Mirage Executive Charter VA. The key for me was that when the scratchpad on the FMC is active (green box on) it can mess with my keyboard. When the keyboard stops working (every time the green box was there or a message was there) I just deactivate the scratchpad on FMC and the keyboard comes back. I tested this with a 1 hour flight today and confirmed it solved the problem every time. To do this just click off the scratchpad (green box) and if there is a message there clear it so the scratchpad is no longer active. This solved my problem with the keyboard. So if I was doing data entry I would make sure to turn off the scratchpad before I left the FMC. If a message came up and the keyboard stopped working (it didn't happen every time a message came on) I would clear the message and make sure the scratchpad was off (no more green box there or message). That would allow the keyboard to work again. 100% of the time this worked for me today. I hope it will do the same for you. Good luck with this issue Dax. And thanks to everyone above that had suggestions for this issue! Jerry

737NGX & Problem with keyboard Commands
Thanks for the idea Richard. I checked my keyboard and mouse drivers and they both are up to date. I thought maybe you had it but no joy. Thanks for the help though. I will keep trying to find the fix. Jerry
