Featured Replies

Hi There,

I have the bundle set for the Airbus series & 737NGX

I have just installed P3D V2.4

Will the version I have work with P3D?

They will work but:

1. You will need to point the installer to the location of your P3D folder.

2. The Airbus Configurator will update the panel.cfg file located in the P3D folder.

The NGX Config Manager, however, will not.  You will need to manually copy your panel.cfg from FSX for the NGX and move it over to the same folder in P3D.

When PMDG officially supports P3D, we'll likely do the same.  In fact, I'm thinking about doing an NGX "Reboot" version to bring it up to the latest standards.

Bryan will you charge for the update like PMDG will for P3d installers??

If I do a "Reboot" for the NGX, it'll involve major code re-writes and involve a lot of development time, so it wouldn't be free.

But it's still very early to say.  My plate is so full as it is...

Awesome,

So I just have to run the same installer again and just change the install directory .... Is this correct?

Will this run alongside my FSX install though?

Yes and Yes.

Don't forget to re-enable FS2Crew via the Aerosoft Configurator in Steam.

Does this also go for the Majestic Dash8?  I just installed P3D v2.5.

Thanks,

I'm here myself. I though FS2Crew worked with P3D aswell so have completely deleted FSX.

Hi,

Will it work with the iFly 737NGX for P3D also?

Jetstream

Yes, but you'll need to manually point the FS2Crew installer to the P3D root folder location.

And you'll need to install the update from the Downloads page.

Best,

Hi. I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly. I want to install FS2Crew NGX edition in Prepar3d 2.5. I went to the download page and pressed 737NGX but there is says that there are no updates, just the installer. So I go ahead an redownload the installer but when I install it, or try to activate Voice, I get an error message (FSX has not been found, your registry entry may...")

I did point the installer towards the Prepar3D folder as well so I don't know whats causing the issue. I know migration tool works but I want to install it correctly if possible. Thanks!

That's right.  I forgot that the installer checks to see if FSX is installed.

Your best bet is to use a Migration tool.

Or wait for Reboot NGX.
