  1. Hi all (these sad days...), In most threads rgding not leaving someone alone in the cockpit, there seem to be a presupmtion that the sane pilot is off and the sick/bad one is in control. Then some third staff could prevent any suicidal acts from the pilot, and all could be taken care of in due course. Given that it all takes place during cruise. But what if a suicidal (co-)pilot decides to overtake the a/c on final and smack it into the ground by sheer force to the stick. Could that happen? (Has it happened?) And can it be prevented by the other pilot? (Mind you - all these posts may give the impression that suicidal pilots is what one may expect nowadays. Which of course is pure BS.)
  2. Thank's Chris. Will try that. (Although I must admit I never heard of SimConnect before... )
  3. Hi, Seems no one is reading the King Air B200 subforum, so I'm trying on this level instead. Need some help with Reality XP GNS 530 installation on my Carenado Beech B200 King Air. I did run the RXP530 installer I found in the Carenado_B200_King_Air folder. And I got the message that RXP530 installation was successful. Having done that I also found what I believe is the RXP 530 in the left GNS slot of the panel. At least there’s a “XP” in the upper right corner of the unit. But – when I try to start it nothing happens. It seem completely dead. There is a clickable spot on the upper left corner of the unit (over the “Garmin” logo”) and when I click that a completely black pop up window opens up. (See below). The original Carenado GNS 530 works fine. In the Carenado King Air panel.cfg file I find rxp listed in two places: ------------------------------------ [Window01] Background_color=8,8,8 size_mm=524,378 visible=0 ident=10000 window_size= 0.310, 0.370 window_pos= 0.550, 0.160 no_luminous=1 zorder=7 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530, 0,0,520,378 gauge01=B200KA!ToggleCAR530, 64,0,384,32 --------------------------------------- and: ----------------------------------------- [Vcockpit01] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=1024,1024 visible=0 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$Panel_1 gauge00=GAUGEB200!Radio_CTL32_DME, 720,738, 304,140 gauge01=GAUGEB200!Gauge_ALT_ALERT, 720,880, 303,143 gauge02=GAUGEB200!Radio_CTL92_ATC, 243, 514,236,252 gauge03=GAUGEB200!Radio_CTL62_ADF, 243, 768,236,252 gauge04=rxpGNS!GNS530, 0, 0, 512,372 gauge05=GPS530_3D_B200!GPS_5302_3D, 512, 0, 510,372 gauge06=CarSoundB200!CarSound, 0,0,5,5 gauge07=B200!GPS_Twas, 0,0,1,1 gauge08=B200KA!ToggleCAR530, 0, 0,64,32 ----------------------------------------------- I run Windows Vista 64 bit (SP2) and FSX plus Acceleration pack. 5. Thx everyone! Got the J41! Now off to pilot school....
  6. Thx, Chris! Sure helps. I have the same impression of PMDG - from my NGX - but was a little worried the JS 4100 is getting a bit old by now. But you're judgement is good enough for me. DL:ing as we speak... Thx again!
  7. Hi, I'm in the market for a good twin engine turbo prop commuter / regional a/c. Most important characteristics for me are: - Systems (avionics incl) realism - Realistic flight model (flight dynamics) - Realistic graphics (both cockpit and external) - Good support through seller and/or an active community - A B737 - type of FMS would be a big plus... I'm spoiled by the PMDG 737 NGX, so I'm looking for something of really high standards. Will be flying in FSX. (Mid range PC. Vista 64 bits, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470) I'm fully aware that posting this Q here will give me only positive A:s. But nevertheless - do you honestly think the PMDG JS4100 is still good enough to purchase? Or is there somehting better somewhere in this category of a/c? TIA!
  8. Spot on, James and Jerry. Now works like a charm.... Big THX!!!
  9. Will do. Thx a lot!!!
  10. Engine reverse is through FSUIPC: It’s btn no 20 on quad #1 programmed to FS btn F2 with “Key press to repeat while held” checked. This btn is my #1 engine throttle lever bottomed down below the throttle engine idle position. So the lever is an axis between full and idle throttle, then a button below that. This one lever seem to work on both engines in reverse mode. My HW is: Intel Core 2 duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00 GHz 4 Gb RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX470 OS W Vista 64 bits SP2 and Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System (=yoke + quad) and an extra Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quad Thx a lot for your help!
  11. Thx for the advice. I've done the same, and it seem to work reasonably well.... ;)
  12. Yes, I've got the full FSUIPC and used it to set up my yoke / quad (which is Saitek Pro Flight Yoke/Quad and an extra quad). And yes - I've got one throttle lever per engine. I'll give the setup a look-over, but so far everything has been working fine. Might be my dead zones between throttle and reverse that are to small.... ? Any suggestions still very much appreciated.... ;)
  13. ...please. I'm working my way through the no 1 Tutorial, and as far as I can judge, I've followed the instructions to the letter. After setting up the FMC, trim & flaps and MCP SPEED, HEADING and ALTITUDE and turned on both FD's I run into trouble when arming the A/T. It just won't get armed. All I get is a warning saying "A/T P/RST". Can someone give me a cure for this. Googled and got the advice to turn on generators 1 and 2, but shouldn't those be on in this turorial. There's no start up procedure in the tutorial to start with, and all other systems seem to be up and running.... And on earlier flights I've had no problem arming the A/T. TIA
  14. Been busy wiht other stuff for some time plus a HD crash issue. But now back. Windows reinstalled and so is FSX and PMDG 737 NGX. Kind of a new start for me. But fun as h*ll. Did a search but couldn't find any posts on this topic: Is it possible to save a flight in mid air, and restart it at a later time? If I'm on a lengthy flight, and suddenly need to leave for a couple of days, can I just save it and restart from the exact point and settings where I aborted. And if so - how is this done. Is it possible in FSX? In NGX? Or maybe an add on? I do have FSUIPC full version. Other than that no add on's so far. Thx in advance!
  15. Too bad. Would have liked to have a look at them. Any chance of re-posting them, PMDG?
