I'm assuming this has now been fixed? Fine here. I am now using the excellent Z690 motherboard sound, which is Realtek. Standard Realtek driver. Music, browsing, and MSFS - no popping or crackling for me. I dare say your issue might be hardware / software specific. I did have this with my old Soundblaster audigy 5x card (now in the trash). I believe I traced it to the line in or input channel if I remember. With microphone and or line in disabled or turned off it went away. Your specific situation might be different of course. I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
