May 19, 200719 yr I tried the SP1, I have done some tweaks, I have read the humungous treads end to end on problems and fixes.Yes I have more FPS but I have stutters, popping autogen, blurries I never had before.I want my old settings back. Trust me I am not kidding, please don't try to convince me to hang in there, I was already getting 25 FPS before the patch anyway so this has just messed up things for me.If I just go back and to a restore to a point before the SP1 install will that get rid of it?Or am I going to have to reinstall from scratch again?Advise please. May 19, 200719 yr System restore may or may not work. You did take a backup of your FSX partition before you upgraded to SP1, didn't you?How did you install SP1, from a fresh install of FSX, by the "repair" method or by charging in boots and all?John John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
May 19, 200719 yr If I don't get an improvement with the blurred textures I might uninstall. This should do it:1. From the Windows Start menu, run Control Panel and select Add/remove programs.2. In the list, locate Microsoft Flight Simulator X3. Tick (check) the Show Updates box at the top of the window. You should now see SP1 as a separate item.4. Click Remove, and that should do it.Best regards, Chris

May 19, 200719 yr yes I found it, seems so simple, thanks for this, I am a little scared to try this but what the heck a reinstall if necessary shouldn't be too big a deal.Boy, I tell you whats missing is a readme or small instruction package with this patch. May 20, 200719 yr Bert, I installed SP1 on a fresh FSX installation (I had no choice as SP1 destroyed FSX!) I see an entry 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK SP1', so clearly SP1 also updated the SDK. SP1 is listed as 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X Service Pack 1'. It is immediately below the FSX entry and shifted a bit to the right.I just noticed that if 'Show updates' is not ticked (not checked) then the SDK SP1 appears but not the actual FSX SP1. Did you tick the 'Show updates' box?Best regards, Chris
May 20, 200719 yr Someone reported in the TileProxy forum that Vista may not have the "Show Updates" box (or maybe it is someplace else?)
May 20, 200719 yr In Vista, it's listed under "View installed updates" on the left side of the Uninstall a program page. Regards,Jim KarnNOTHING is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
