This was exactly the issue; Realturb removed and the issue is gone.  I was actually sure I checked removing this, but what I probably didn't do was restart.

Thank you very much @SergioN, I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to help me out. Total gamechanger for me, and a real headache gone that was frankly ruining the very little time I have to "fly".

 

BTW; the rest of the suggestions for optimization in this thread seemed to help out, too. My sim has never been so smooth with so many settings turned up.

I'm glad it worked for you too Daniel, you're welcome. I also tried the same scenario landing at GCXO (which is known for its up and down drafts and wind shifts) with moderate to heavy wind and really didn't notice much difference with RealTurb installed or uninstalled. Just to add, the stutters with realturb weren't present in all airports, but the most fps demanding ones for sure.
