March 8, 20224 yr Okay, it's not a jet, it's multiple ducted fans but we'll forgive them that. At first glance you would think that lots of mini fans would be inefficient due to the higher RPM required to generate enough thrust. And we'd be right but that only allies to the brief time spent hovering. Most of the flight is in the cruise where the lack of drag from big props pays dividends.
March 8, 20224 yr Author That's what I like about these eVTOL's. So many different concepts being developed. Everything from multiple ducted fans to Dyson hairdryer style bladeless fans.
