March 8, 20224 yr Just had to buy new PC Windows 11. On installing P3D all the XML files, when opened say across the top. ".this xml file does not appear to have any style information with it" and don't appear to work. Has anyone any idea what I need to do to get them back to normal please. /Russell
March 8, 20224 yr Just an idea from something I read here on the forum. infact check yourself the post… sorry can’t link it its a post by Scott in the Linda forum regarding your system not in English language with utf8 beta needs to be checked ( ticked) I think utf8 is the style thing it’s complaining about. worth a shot. March 8, 20224 yr Author Thanks for the help MaDDogz. Couldn't find the post, but it pointed me in the right direction.( I thought). My system is in English, so I opened the xml in note pad and clicked to "save as". It was checked as utf8-Bom. Changed it to utf8 and saved. No difference at all. I guess I'll have to call the guy who charges me for his time. At least he knows more about these things than I do. I appreciate your time. /Russell.
March 8, 20224 yr XML Notepad provides a simple intuitive User Interface for browsing and editing XML documents. https://microsoft.github.io/XmlNotepad/ I use windows 11 also and found this helpful. It's produced by Microsoft. I use it to modify addon xml's. Don Nelson
