May 19, 200719 yr I recently landed at Yakutat Airport (PAYA) and found some excellent scenery, but a particular building is missing its textures. Any idea how I can get them back? This view is from Parking 2 - Ramp GA Small.ThanksPaul Dahlenhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171964.jpg
May 19, 200719 yr That is really a nicely done airport.I've never seen a default airport with that much detail.I really love the old falling down building and the old garage right in front of parking spot #2.But I have no idea what texture is needed for the small cabins.I'll have to do some research.
May 21, 200719 yr This was just free flight. Thanks for digging into this for me. I'm continuing to look myself.FYI I did add SP1 before this happened, and I'm not sure whether it occurred before or not because I could not turn my scenery up this high without the patch.I also tried a complete restart of FSX at the same spot with the same results.
May 22, 200719 yr Is there no one in this forum that can tell me how to find these missing building textures?! Maybe I should have titled this post "Blurries in FSX." :(
May 23, 200719 yr Would someone please at least load PAYA into FSX with SP1 and tell me if YOUR cabins have textures?I guess everyone is focused on the blurries (pun intended...)Thanks
May 23, 200719 yr When I looked around I seen one hanger, one buliding like in your shot to the left of pic, one gas pump, two runways and one tower antenna ... default FX SP1>I recently landed at Yakutat Airport (PAYA) and found some>excellent scenery, but a particular building is missing its>textures. May 23, 200719 yr I noticed this airport too. I really liked it but those buildings were annoying me so I decided to do something about it. I used the deluxe version's Object Placement Tool and put some small log cabins over them (or some other small rustic building that fit over them. I can't remember which one I used. I think that there are two or three small buildings that fit over the gray ones.) then save the scenery, convert it into a BGL file using the bgl compiler and added it to my Addon Scenery's Scenery file. you can also add some static planes to the airport with the Object Placement Tool. The tool is terrific, well worth buying the Deluxe version for. I use it all the time. If you are unsure of how to use/install the Object Placement Tool just make another post in this thread.;-)
