March 15, 20224 yr when I climb with the a300 and set a a/th and then that I want to climb to 32,000 ft and then when I choose vs it just climbs till it stalls, what am i doing wrong? what vs should I have ? (I have autopilot on)
March 15, 20224 yr Administrators What A-300 are you using? Freeware addon or payware? From what altitude are you climbing to FLT320? What VS rate? Is AT set to MACH or KIAS? Is this a climb from takeoff to 32,000 feet? Fuel weight? Pitot tube heat on? It might be a good idea to tell us your flight plan! IFR or VFR, total fuel, weather conditions, etc. Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. IFR or VFR, total fuel, weather conditions, etc. Hi I am using the a300 freeware from rikooo I was climbing to 32,000 from takeoff I was flying OIII to LTFJ I had 120,000 pounds fuel I dont know what pitot tube heat is and I dont know where it is. And I don't know if that button is clickable because every button in the cockpit is not clickable. I set the weather to like no wind and beautiful day and no storm. I dont know what vs I should I have I just took it like 1000-2500 and I had the airspeed in knots
March 15, 20224 yr Administrators OK, Shift+h to turn on Pitot Tube heat before takeoff. I figure that 120,000 lbs of fuel is about 1/2 of full tanks. If you are not using ATC and an IFR flight plan (with IFR, ATC will give instruction on altitudes and when to move to the next altitude). You will need to do "step climbs". After takeoff, set the Altitude hold for about 14,000 feet using a VS of 1800 FPM. Set AT for 250-260 KIAS. Level off at 14,000 for a minute or 2, then set the altitude hold for 25,000 feet and a VS of 1400 FPM and increase KIAS to 280. Once you reach 25,000 feet level off for a few minutes. Now set your AT to MACH ( your KIAS will decrease a bit. Not to worry!) Now set the altitude for 32,000 feet, increase the MACH number a bit and VS to maybe 1000 FPM for a slower steady climb to your cruise altitude. What it comes down to, is for each step of the climb, you increase speed and decrease the rate of how fast you climb. The Pitot Tube heat is very important when the air temp gets colder the higher you go. March 15, 20224 yr Administrators Try the same flight with the default A-321. I can't tell by your picture what is happening. I would not guarantee any aircraft downloaded from Rikooo. Another suggestion is to do your flight as IFR (High Altitude) and follow the instructions from ATC. The altitude can always be changed in the flight plan to your desired cruise altitude of 32,000 feet. At what altitude does your aircraft stall? What is the OAT (Outside Air Temperature)? You may need to have de-icing turned on. Be sure that Pitot Tube Heat is on! (shift+h). Yea but the thing is that it’s the same as the a300 freeware from flyawaysimulation like I mean i first downloaded it from flyawaysimulation and then I changed to rikoooo because it happend on the a300 from flyawaysimulation and now it happens to the a300 from rikoooo
March 15, 20224 yr Administrators OK, like I said, try with the default aircraft. March 15, 20224 yr Administrators OK, I'm posting a picture of my a321 panel the way it needs to be when in flight with A/P and A/T on. Look at the red arrows and what they point to. You need to see that on your A300 panel to make sure all of the autopilot features are working. I think that's why you are stalling and falling out of the sky! Only the ALT was lit on your screenshot. Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. I just flew a300 again and it feels like the higher you go the more you have to decrease the vs

April 9, 20224 yr I've flown that particular aircraft from rikooo in p3d, its underpowered, won't sustain a proper cruise speed. Just uninstall it, and get someat else.
