DevMode graphs

Featured Replies

I have constant red bars in the top graph, presumably telling me the cpu/gpu is not keeping up, or something else on the system is causing these blips.  In the sim everything is completely smooth.  I have my monitor set at 60Hz and in MSFS Vsync is on at 30.  I have even set every setting to low in the sim and still I see red bars and the GPU bottom graph is yellow with red lines.  The 'MainThread' and 'CoherantGTUIThread are green by why do the top and bottom graphs have red lines in them?

As I said, everything in the sim is smooth even with everything set to Ultra, but can anybody explain what the red lines in the graph are telling me?

I have the same settings and these red bars. The game is 99% smooth for me too.
If I set Vsync to on in the nvidia control panel and lock the fames to 30, then the red bars are gone, but the game stutters.

In MSFS 2020, of course, switch off Vsync. I've read that this vsync doesn't work that well in the game or it's broken.
Maybe this will help you and the game will run better on your system.

Vsync doesn't do anything for me either in sim.  I had to set a lock in NCP if I really want that.

Vsync definitely works for me. I don't use any NCP overrides though. I use 4k with 100% scaling and high preset and set vsync in the sim at 30

Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

I don't use overrides typically...everything is set to "set by program" or whatever the option is.  1440P here with ultra settings.

For what it's worth vsync works fine here, too: HD monitor, GTX 1080, settings on HIGH END. All very 2016. but smooth at 30 fps.

No doubt the impending arrival of the complex tubeliners will wipe the smile away.
