Gerard, how is PSXT in regard of ground traffic here in Europe? I read that basically only in the US the ground traffic is displayed on an acceptable scale, not in the rest of the world. And to be honest, here in Switzerland for example, many, many GA planes flying in and out of LSZB do not even appear on FR24.

Yesterday I took off from Amsterdam and I had 62 parked ac (parked density at 25%) and many live ac (8-9).

Landed at Nice and there where 14 parked ac and 2 live ac.

Today I will fly to Zurich and see how many parked/live ac I see there.

GA I do not see, have not paid attention to, but I fly a 738 and all the airports I use probably have little to none GA ac.

So not live. Delays, diversions , crabbed landings you won’t see and the flightplans are always from the “past” and many might have changed in real life already….

Plus: they do not take from and land at the right runways, they do not take runways blocked for maintenence into account, they do not make a real go-arounds, they do not fly vectors given by real live ATC, and so on ...

Where did you read that?, because it is not true. Lots of ground traffic at a lot of major airports in Europe (EGLL, EDDF, EHAM, EDDM, EKCH, LEMD, LTFM,  LSGG, LSSZ to name a few).

It all depends on the SOP of the airport, should pilots leave their transponder on or off while taxiiing.

By default you will also see small planes in Switzerland, here are the types:

    <sml types="AC90,AN28,ASTR,B190,BE40,BE45,BE4W,C25A,C25B,C25C,C25M,C27J,C500,C501,C510,C525,C526,C550,C551,C560" />
    <sml types="C56X,C650,C680,C68A,C700,C750,CL30,CL35,CL60,DH8A,DH8B,DH8C,DH8D,E55P,F2,F2TH,F900,FA10,FA20,FA50" />
    <sml types="FA5X,FA7X,FA8X,G150,G222,G250,G280,GALX,GLF2,GLF3,GLF4,H25A,H25B,H25C,HA4T,JCOM,JS31,JS32,JS41,L410" />
    <sml types="L610,LJ24,LJ31,LJ35,LJ40,LJ45,LJ55,LJ60,LJ70,LJ75,LJ85,METR,PC24,PRM1,SBR1,SH36,SW3,SW4,TBM,YK28" />
    <sml types="YK38,YK40,YK42" />

I regularly see the "wintersport broken legs taxi flight" from Innsbruck landing in Rotterdam 😉

If you want to see Light aircraft to, just tick Light in the UI (same for Helicopters, Gliders and fighter aircraft).
