Do you happen to have figures about the usage of PSXT? I'd be interested if you would sent that to me. 😉 No its all about data storage. Balthasar needs 5 times more storage now the update frequency has gone from once in 10 seconds to once in 2 seconds. Do note that Balthasar works cost based, it is a hobby, not a business.

I haven't downloaded any corporate jets or GA so I know those won't show, but I should be fully populated with the US carriers. Flying out of MIA yesterday (LatinVFR), I only had a few AA planes taxiing and not too many at the gates, planes were landing and a few taking off but if the app is supposed to show a fairly realistic representation, it was no where close..... having said that, it is much better than having nothing at all. Do you find there are certain settings either in RT or PSXT that i need on to ensure it is more realistic? I'll check out Learner - I read it but still don't quite understand... Is learner essentially saying I should run it after running PSTX once, type in the airports that I either typically fly or will fly and PSTX will "learn" those airports? Also, I cannot tick the "real only" box When you use MSFS and PSXT is running it will learn what airlines/aircraft use each gate. The second and subsequent times you run PSXT with MSFS, the gates will be pre-populated with the traffic PSXT has learnt about in previous sessions ( the % park setting will determine how many gates are occupied at the start of the session). The learner tool does exactly the same as PSXT, but MSFS does not need to be running - RealTraffic DOES need to be running. You tell the learner tool which airport you want it to learn then just leave it running for as long as you like. You do not need to be at your PC. There is a Manual for questions like this... See Chapter 11.4: If you enter one airport code it will run until you exit Learner. If you type more than one airport code, separated by comma’s, it will start with a randomly chosen one and after a number of minutes (to be set in the textbox below) it will switch to the next one in the row automatically. If it has done the last of the series it will start with the first one again. The duration of learning a single airport may be set in minutes between 5 and 10080 (= 1 week in minutes). If you type * and press enter it will take all airport files it finds in your parked_updates folder. And again, if you do want to ak a question, use my PSXseeconTraffic Forum at AVSIM. Edited March 26, 20224 yr by kiek

March 26, 20224 yr Does this have any sort of conflict resolution logic? How am I supposed to be able to fit into a tight approach queue or line up with aircraft waiting for takeoff? How does it work during taxi? Won't aircraft fly or taxi through my airplane all the time? Would an ATC addon like PF3 still talk to the AI aircraft controlled by PSX?

March 27, 20224 yr I have joined the club .... I see parking, landings and take offs at CYVR but have yet to see a single aircraft taxiing from or to a runway. Sorry to say, but without taxiing the whole thing is hmm ... . Kind regards, Michael I saw that but it only talks about approach. I wouldn't want to guess or look at some AI monitoring program to see where I can fit in. I assume I also wouldn't be able to takeoff from a busy runway due to lack of space between aircraft taking off (and landing). If aircraft on the ground also get deleted when they come close this would kill the immersion completely for me. We also don't have historical weather in the sim as of now, so if I would want to fly in a part of the world well outside my time zone I would have to use the time shift feature but live weather depicting current conditions. This means you would often end up in situations where traffic flow doesn't match weather conditions (direction for takeoffs and landings). I haven't tried this so I may be wrong. I'm excited about the idea of having real live traffic in the sim (implemented better than Asobo's solution currently is), but I don't see how this could be practical for actual flying outside of AI spotting, at least at busy hubs.
