    That is the point though. No one is reading anymore. How do you think people are learning Photoshop today? People have 20 kilos of books collecting dust while they are watching YouTube videos. People are not reading on how to fly the Fenix or the PMDG’s. They are watching streamers and YouTube videos. You don’t have to like it, but if you think most people are ready to plow through 50 pages to learn ASFS then it is time to pull the head out of the sand.

    I have really tried to find videos that shows of ASFS in a good light. No success. Are none of the fans capable of creating a video? Not even HiFi have released good videos showing of how easy and good this product is. If they had done that I am sure much of the misunderstandings should have been avoided. Instead they are now caught in a tsunami of patching that will delay the release of any videos even more.

    It is a shame for HiFi if only the inteligencia of AVsim have the capability to run the software.

    Sorry, I mean the Windows taskbar. Not in the sim. They could not bring the application window back.

    Common for all the streams I saw yesterday was that they had issues with the GUI. It kept disappearing from the toolbar and they had to restart the application to bring it back.

    I just don’t think MSFS (as opposed to other sims) have big enough weather problems to generate a need for this. Lets see in 6 months how many are still using it.

    Thank you. I feel that even one week with streamers showing off the product is too much. It has already taken away the hype for me and I am no longer feeling the urge to test it out. Feels more like one of many product updates that drops every week in MSFS. I understand it is a way to pay back to the streamers as it is generating more traffic for them but 1-2 days feels better. Especially when it comes to paid updates (which this isn’t off course).

    Searching for "Father Time Pilot" on YouTube gave me this: https://www.youtube.com/@FatherTime1958 It has a lot of FSiPanel videos so I am guessing it is correct.

    Since it will be on GamePass I am sure the total number of users will be higher on 2024 from the day of release. Regarding AVsim users I am not so sure.

    He clearly believes in quantity before quality.

    I rather see them throw what is not working in the bin. Build a new framework that better supports functionality that they did not see the need for when they made 2020. They have learnt a lot in regards to what the users are looking for.

    I am not a developer, but I am glad they are protecting 3rd party developers by locking it down to include in-sim assets only. It will also keep the file sizes down. Imaging if every airport in the world had unique graphic files.

    Why would us users want them to spend resources on 2020 after 2024 is released? When they say updates I hope they are talking about making it current with OS and gfx-drivers so that it is running.

    Making an engine that will support a glider, a seaplane, a jumbo jet and a F-16 can never have the same fidelity as a specially tuned aircraft. I think it is better that more developers sees what is possible and tries to improve their game even more.

    If MS starts to have GamePass-only titles it will be subscription based. That has not happened until now and nothing indicates they will start.

    I think is is a simple as they are running out of money to pay the bills. They try everything they can to be able to pay salaries. As much as they have worked with this they feel it would be a shame to throw it all away. It does not mean that they think it is a good approach or what they planned on doing in the first place.

    I am pretty sure that every other game franchise would have had the fans cheering for a sequel. Only some flight simmers thinks progress is terrible.

    You make it sound like you bought 2% of Apple and that the value is dropping. If you have "invested" so much then I am sure you can handle the extra "investment" and buy 2024 as well.

    It would be nice if a new sim made it easier for MS to terminate existing contracts and instead use Navigraph and Flightradar as data providers.
