"Partly" missing ILS frequencies...

Hi there,

I just opened a Zendesk Ticket, but when I opened it, it showed as solved and closed. Strange, so I thought I ask here if someone sees the same.

I wondered in my last flights with planes using the GNS530 that ILS frequencies did not show up on the WPT/FREQ page, just COM frequencies for the Airports I tried to land. To name a few: EDNY, EDJA, LSZR.

So I switched to Little Nav Map and in the Information tabs in LNM it also showed "ILS data not found". But looking at the Map in LNM, I can see the green ILS markers and the frequencies. I can also punch in the numbers into the GNS and it works.

Since my LNM Database consists 100% only out of MSFS Data (no Navigraph involved), and the frequencies work in the game, I can only assume that within MSFS the Frequencies are somehow in the Nav Database, but not always part of the Airport information. These seem to be 2 different things.

I suppose the instruments use the Nav Database (luckily), so the Navigation instruments work fine. But the GNS uses the Aiport information (like LNM does for the Information tabs) and there the ILS information is missing.

It is working fine for other Airports like EDDS and EDDH though. So not all Airports are affected ,but it seems I am just unlucky and fly to Airports all the time where the information is missing and I have to look it up in LNM 😞

Are you using the 530 mod?

Ooooh word not allowed! You are right. I had the GNS Mod installed and if I turn that one off, the GNS shows me the ILS for the Airports in question.

I still don´t get it why LNM has the same issue for the same Airports. I am sure it does not care what kind of Instrument Mods I have installed.

But for the GNS at least now I know where to file a Ticket. Thank you 🙂

If at some point you did a load scenery library in LNM with that mod active, it would see the same navdata as MSFS, as it includes whatever is in your community folder. May I suggest that now that you have disabled that mod that you do another load scenery library in LNM to get whatever MSFS currently has. Just guessing, but that mod may have included some erroneous navdata.

Good thought Jim. I let LNM scan my Library again without the GNS and it did not make a difference. I´ll ask over at the LNM Forums and will file a Ticket in the Discord where the GNS support is supposed to be. Thanks 🙂
