April 8, 20224 yr Can anyone post a first hand opinion of Thrustmaster's TCA Stick. I currently own the Trustmaster T Flight Hotas but I want an ambidextrous stick that doesn't have a single throttle permanently attached as I have several multi axis quadrants. I wish to use it for both civil and military simulations. Opinions? Thanks
April 8, 20224 yr The TCA stick is essentially the well-known T.16000M stick with an Airbus-style stick head. It does have a throttle slider, but that doesn't make it incompatible with throttle quads. The primary X-Y axes use magnetic Hall Effect sensors, so they are accurate and noise-free without degradation over time like traditional pots. The twist and throttle slider axes are, however, traditional pots, though I have yet to wear any of my T.16000M or TCA stick pots to the point of noise spikes. The twist axis serves quite handily as a steering tiller if you already have rudder pedals. I've long considered the T.16000M/TCA to be the best mainstream consumer/economy joystick on the market. April 9, 20224 yr I love my t16000m. Wore out my twist axis But that’s ok. Stopped using the axis anyway. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

These features you have mention, especially the hall sensors are very desirable on a stick. I like the idea of the either wrist rest at the bottom. It just doesn't feel right using a right handed stick left handed and I don't know why so many models marketed were aimed at the fighter jock crowd. I like to ergonomically emulate any specific plane I learn in sim as close as possible which is why my CH Yoke, HCB, CH Quadrant and such are I'm my collection. I even have a three axis knob throttle quadrant for GA. I want to try different planes like the Vertix Diamond but I need a good stick for that one.
