April 15, 20224 yr Hi, Just bought her yesterday so i believe i have latest version. I have some serious issues with landings. Honestly, to master take off and landing i do only such, and regardless of load, technique, different settings - cannot master my landings. Landing - plane bounces like ping pong ball regardless of technique i try. Even when landing full flaps with lowest speed ( close to stall ), plane bounce one or two times. I land with full flaps, aiming to be around 80kts, but tried all combinations - always bouncing That plane was designed for landing on carriers, so how come she behaves like that? Also watched real planes in action, and cannot see such bouncing tendency. So my final question - is it me, is it MSFS, or is it MILVIZ ? Artur
April 16, 20224 yr Author Digging the subject i found this Don’t feel bad ....., the real airplane doesn’t behave this way at all, it’s poorly modelled. In fact it’s a very docile aircraft and stable. You can actually do aileron rolls hands off the stick just by twisting the aileron trims! If the real airplane was so hard to takeoff and land they would have lost a lot of airplanes and killed a lot of pilots. I fly real warbirds and find this model very frustrating to fly. I hope they do some work on it and make it more like the real Corsair! But it sure is beautiful and that’s the only reason I purchased it. I hope DCS or some other publisher will come up with something better and with better flight dynamics So far i would sign under this comment with my both hands. Artur

October 1, 20223 yr Author Steve - there are a ton of videos from modern times when Corsairs land beautifully and without a single bounce. It looks like Milviz sim is simulating different plane than name would suggest, as version 'D' was significantly improved especially about bouncing. In version 'D' bouncing was removed by adding a damper to undercarriage. Artur
May 23, 20233 yr I seem to recall that you were supposed to land on the mains first and not try a 3 point landing. This seems to help a bit for me but its still a handful to bring in with any kind of cross wind.
