Reaction to turbulence and thermal effects

Featured Replies

I don't know how much traction this might have; I was wondering if people would entertain the idea of having an option where we can have
a slider to adjust turbulence and thermal effects from 0 to 100% incorporated in some menu (like flight controls section). In this way, we can adjust
this reaction to our liking or as close as possible to each airplane's behavior., especially for the real pilots that are more familiar with how each airplane they fly.
I think that it would be much easier and simpler to address this issue.

747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

Overall MFS turbulence feels acceptable to me, but I think your idea is interesting and would be nice to have.

The "problem" is that of MFS not being a stale platform, but rather a dynamic ( very ) one where both the Flight Dynamics and the Weather Modelling are going thorough a process of refinement and that means, what is true today migh differ after the next Sim Update, specially with two upcoming updates:

- update to the way the flight model deals with flows arround the aircraft, both exogenous and self induced;

- some of those effects themselves, like the enhanced weather effects that are being fine tuned most probably with their "Soaring" release due fir later his year - one that I am really after !

I wish I could have that when flying in real life. 😉
