If you like sims based on real life physics

WARNO (Warning Order) is on sale at Steam till May 10.

WARNO is the latest in the Wargame series by French developer Eugen Systems. The series started in 2005. The developer has a reputation for making games as realistic as possible. In addition to real-life based physics it also has fantastic graphics and a great story line which approximate the current conflict in Ukraine.   It has great looking planes among many other things. Flight and ammunition physics are simply amazing.

I’ve been eying this and got a notification from my wish list today…how approachable is it?  Is it something I have to be willing to dedicate hours and hours to in order to get going?

Like other reality based sims, it has a learning curve which others might find steep. The learning curve is similar to learning how to start-up a very high fidelity plane in DCS, MSFS and other sims from a cold-and-dark state. But that's the price one pays for reality-based sims.

Fortunately, the series has been around a very very long time (since 2005). There are lots of really hard core fans supporting the game, lots of YouTube video tutorials to learn and enjoy, and tons of guides from early versions which still apply to the current version and most likely will also apply to future versions as well. The nice thing about the series is that it has consistency over its long run. The developer has a passion for modelling real behavior, physics, methods, and technology. Humans will always behave humanely, and the rules of physics remain the same over time. eg.
